My Fractured Bargello
Name of Maker: Silvia Ciofalo
My Fractured Bargello - The center of the quilt is a basic fractured Bargello. Not being able to waste any fabric, (I am cheap) I used the left over strips to make the border cutting them at a 45 dregee. This gives the quilt a lot more movement.

My
Name of Maker: Me & my 6 children
My "Kid's" Work - I had designed and made (with the help of some volunteers) five quilts to auction off at my daughter's school. I scanned children's drawings (some the size of a dime) and enlarged them for the quilts. I thought after doing that why not do one of my own children's drawings. SOOOO I gathered all their old art work (some of those were also the size of a dime) and scanned, enlarged and appliqued them and this quilt is the result. It hangs in my entry and my grandchildren love to touch it and hide behind it.
Weaved Nine Patch
Name of Maker: Me
Weaved Nine Patch - This quilt is made with a combination of my Liberty of London collection and a few others. I love the way the nine patches weave together.
Circus Has Come to Town
Name of Maker: Me
Circus Has Come to Town - I used an American Jane pattern for the center and added my "marble" border. Or maybe it is round balloons?? I had fun working with these Alexander Henry fabrics + others.
Liberty Nine Patch
Name of Maker: Me
Liberty Nine Patch - I have used my collection of Liberty of London fabrics for this quilt. I used a basic nine patch pattern and added hand applique flowers for the border also using my fabrics. I have few left. I have made small zipper bags each so I can have them forever.

French Applique Quilt
Name of Maker: Me
French Applique Quilt - I wanted to use Sandy Klop's great American Jane fabrics and had seen these applique blocks on point in another quilt. I added the border etc. to make my own.
Guest room quilt
Name of Maker: Candace Door
Guest room quilt - This quilt was based on a wall quilt I seen on some of the earlier episodes of The Quilt Show. I loved the color combinations. I began to collect a stash and then put it all together.
Folk Art
Name of Maker: Me
Folk Art - Each block was scanned on the computer and enlarged to 16" squares. It is as about exact a replica as one could probably make. I took applique "kits" on all my travels and as I look at it today I remember all the places I went while working on each square. I usually have my quilts machine quilted but this one was a one of kind so I had it handquilted.
Still Waters
Name of Maker: Barbara Romanufa
Still Waters - I made this for when my family room is blue (winter). It was made before I was comfortable with free motion quilting, so it was done with a walking foot.
Alicia's Flower Basket
Name of Maker: Mary Lorenz
Alicia's Flower Basket - In 2002, I took a europeon trip with my OPldest sister, her two duaghters and my mom. I purachse the majority of the fabric in Niem, France and filled in with fabrics from home. I made the quilt for my niece Alicia as a high school graduation present.
Dad's Ties, literally
Name of Maker: Mary Lorenz
Dad's Ties, literally - This was my grief quilt after my father passed away in 2000. My mom gave me all of his neckties, and I filled out the rest with neck ties from my husban, brother, and brother-in-laws. The best part was whenthe quilt was complete and my sisters leaned close and said "Look! there is the tie my husband wore on our wedding day!", "Look! there is dad's choir tie!"
Raised Star
Name of Maker: Mary Lorenz
Raised Star - My mother purcahsed the batik fabric in Mexico City in 1970 for $10 a yard. IT took me years to talk her into letting me have the yardage. It then took me three years to find complimentary fabrics and another two years to decide on a block that would work.
Japanese Obi Quilt
Name of Maker: Mary Lorenz
Japanese Obi Quilt - In 2000 I was a Fulbright Memerial Scholar to Tokoyo, Japan. I found the obi at the bottom of a pile in an antiques shop. I took me three years to figure out just how to cut up the obi to show off the beautiful gold brochade. My husband helped with the design also. The quilt is a precious memory of my host family, noodle soup, sweet potato wine, sushi, and the Ichikawa float festival.
A Colorful Friendship
Name of Maker: Candace Door
A Colorful Friendship - This quilt was made from 100 strips I received in the Friendship Sensational Stripper exchange that was formed after Edyta Sitar's show.
Challenge quilt- Unlimited Possibilities
Name of Maker: Candace Door
Challenge quilt- Unlimited Possibilities - This is my entry for a Quilting Arts Magazine challenge. The quilt is 8 1/2 x 11". I knew this was a challenge (my first) I "needed" to enter...because my last name is Door! Although small this was a challenge for me but it was good to finally dive into something and get it done.
