Beaver Island Waters - The quilt is an interpretation of the beautiful waters surrounding Beaver Island, MI and is mainly done with sewn curved piecing and an appliquéd island.
Jeweled Stars - I designed this quilt for the Valley of the Kings collection from Robert Kaufman. It was a beautiful way to represent the lovely fabric. It remains one of my favorite designs.
Buttons and Strings - This is a string quilt that also incorporates solid blocks to emphasize the Splash of color from the String blocks. It measures 34 X 50 and is 'quilted' with hand sewn buttons throughout. Currently for sale in my Etsy store 'Katy Trail Creations'.
Georgias quilt - very scrappy quilt My first Mainers compass blocks looked like little volcanos finally got it and these re the result now I paper piece and don't have to worry about volcanos,Love paper piecing
"Rim Fire" Yosemite - I was moved by pictures of towering flames burning my favorite park. I submitted a picture to an on-line show at www.parks.ca.gov. The flames and sky fabrics are hand painted, trees appliqued, free-motion stitched. I donated it to raise funds for our fire dept.
Through the Mountains - This quilt was made to be donated to a Wounded Warrior. The name comes from the journey back to health that many of our veterans must make because of their service to our country.
Oak Woodland - This quilt is 14" square; it was designed for and subsequently juried in to an art auction to benefit the Effie Yeaw Nature Center in Carmichael, CA.
Wedding Dress Quilt Shelly - Wedding Dress Quilt made from Shelly's wedding dress. This dress was worn by Shelly and her mother, and the quilt is a gift for her daughter who is getting married. Bride and groom's names and date were stitched on front, mother and grandmother's pictures, names and dates were put on back.
Wedding Dress Quilt for Brittany - Wedding Dress Quilt made from Brittany's wedding dress. The dress was ruffled. So the quilt had some ruffles, was machine quilted, and had turquoise stitching to match wedding colors.

Andre's Quilt - This is a quit for my friend's new grandson, Andre. Sandra wanted fabrics that represented the 4 ethnic backgrounds in the family: Russian, Italian, South African and United States.
The Unknown Absolute 1 - In "Point and Line to Plane", Wassily Kandinsky states that and absolute point cannot be known, because no matter how small you make your point, it is always possible to make one smaller. This quilt is the first in a series to explore various size points (circles) and their interactions on a plane.
