Merry Christmas 2007 Y'all - An absolutely enjoyable quilt to make. Collecting different fabrics for each entirely different block was fun. Sewing around each fusible piece was time consuming, so it did take awhile to get that done. Making the piano keys from the white and off-white backgrounds from the blocks seemed to be a nice border solution. However, adding the red accent seemed to be needed. I've had good response. It was made with my daughter and 4 gr ch in mind. They can have it next year--maybe! lol
Spring Garden - A few friends and I had a round robin we did. We each made a center block and packed up the fabrics to use and sent it along to the next person on the list who then added a round.
It was quite fun and took a few months to complete.
Windows of my Mind - There are 72 different templates used in this quilt. 6 small center blocks were made before one was selected. The remaining block are on the back as rejects.
Red, White and Blue Sampler - This quilt was purchased by a guest ranch in Texas.
The owner asked for a sampler made up of red, white and blue fabrics.
This quilt was quite fun to work on. I also used red, white and blue varigated quilt thread to machine quilt it.
Wedding Quilt - I made this quilt for my son and daughter in law for a wedding gift.
It was machine pieced and machine quilted. Here you are just seeing the top, right before I brought it to be machine quilted.
They both love it and it is on their bed all the time.
Frog Log Cabin - This quilt was disigned around the purchase of 9 4" hand-painted batik squares with frogs that my now daughter-in-law loves. Fully reversible, this quilt features bright bold colors and whimsical frogs on the back.
Inner Animal (and Roses) - Quilt made for my oldest son who stated a desire for an assorted animal print quilt while in college. He has used this quilt as a canapy over his bed, as a wall handing, and, of course, on his bed. It is fully reversible, with Alaskan animal scenes on the back.
Summertime Blues - I wanted to make a simple quilt using both EQ6 to design it, and my new Bernina with BSR to quilt it--and "Summertime Blues" came from that.
With Morning Comes Hope - It has silk ribbon embroidery, punchneedle and crewel with applique. Punchwork from this quilt featured in second edition of Quilting Arts Magazine.
