Sun, sea and sand - Made for paid publication in Practical Crafts (UK) magazine, July 2005. I worked for them both as the Editorial Copy Controller and as a contributor.

Red Squares - I love little bits of fabric. I saved this pictured of an antique quilt for years. Quilt contains 1,369 ½” squares. Binding is also pieced. Machine pieced and free hand machine quilted with silk thread.

Five Wedding Wishes - Made for a competition - theme of 'Five'. Depicts 5 wedding wishes 'Health (apples), Wealth (bricks and mortar), Happiness (sunflowers), Fertility (hens and chicks) and Long Life (timepieces)'.

Memorial Quilt - This was a memorial quilt for my father who passed away in January. the colored strips were a holiday gift for me, and the black and white were taken from the shirt and jacket that I wore at my Dad's funeral, which were torn in the jewish tradition, and shouldn't be mended. I gave the quilt to my sister, who had taken such constant care of my dad, along with my other sister, in his final years. (My other sister has the quilt that I had made for my dad.)

Winter in Maine - This quilt was paper pieced.

Triple Treat - My LQS, Quilt Lovers Hangout, heard that the soldiers in Iraq are cold at night and using WWII blankets. Several of us are making quilts to send over.

She Worketh Willingly With Her Hands - These are photos of women's hands transferred to silk and then appliqued onto a background of raw edged hand painted silk. It is embellished with silk ribbon and semi-precious beads. This work is a testament to all that women quietly do.

Amish Stripes - My first hand quilting project after seeing Amish quilts in Pennsylvania. Quilting on black with black thread is not easy!

Red Hat Ladies - Based on a line drawing made by my eldest son, I machine embroidered myself and four women who had positively impacted my life. Long before the Red Hat Society, these ladies immortalized the poem "Warning".

Staying Afloat - The ark as well as the levels of waves are independent 'quilts' appliqued together. The animals and fish are novelty buttons.

Quilt for Olivia - stamped design that Angela Cortes embroidered and I was hired to assemble and quilt the 4 embroidered squares for the great grandaughter of Angela who is Olivia born April 3, 2007

"Going Crazy!" - this is my 'therapy' quilt which illustrates how the year has been! It is embroidered with words and images that signify some of the stresses I experienced.

Giggles For Mr. B - This quilt was created for my grandson's 3rd birthday and his first 'big boy' bed. The novelty prints feature things that make Brian giggle, thus the name. The back of the quilt is a multitude of brightly colored blocks.

Friends Forever - This was made for my childhood friend's first grandchild. Little did I know that within the year she would be a grandmom again and I would be making another quilt just like it for Lauren's little sister.

Serendipity - This quilt is hand pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted. I finished it in 2006, but it really took about 5 years, off and on. Quilting is all southwest oriented.

A New Beginning - I wanted to do a Log Cabin block quilt. Used all kinds of greens, with a bit of blue and teal, and all shades of reds with a bit of pinks and purple!

Serendipity----back of quilt - This is a super enlarged thunderbird which is a block on the front of the quilt. Sorry the pictures are so bad. People were holding it--sorry photo guru!
