Family Tree
Name of Maker: Kris and Patrick Thomson
Family Tree - I collected pictures of my parents, my sister and me. My husband photo transfered them to fabric and I pieced them in the attic window to show our family history. I intended to give it to my mom for Christmas when all the family members would be gathered, but she passed away on the 17th of December. She never did get to see it, but I know she would have loved it. Unfortunately, it is a very bitter sweet quilt for me, but will be a family heirloom.

Butterflies Aren't Free and Gave Me a Headace
Name of Maker: Kris Thomson
Butterflies Aren't Free and Gave Me a Headace - This design was on the cover of Designs in Machine Embroidery and I immediately fell in love with it and had to make it. I subscribed to the magazine, bought the Amazing Design floppy and proceeded.........It was truly a challenge to flip and accurately match the designs. I learned to un-embroider, a challenge in itself, and do free standing designs. I'm very proud of the results and consider it one of my best.
