Country Church - I made this in a retreat with Cynthia England.

Home & Harvest - Hand-dyed felted wools appliqued on black wool and hand-embroidered with button-hole stitch and french knots. I gathered the wool myself, rather than purchasing the fabric kit, and also felted some of the wool myself. Quilt has a house with a picket fence, dog, cat, and fall leaves. Blocks surrounding the house include floral, fruit, and vegetable arrangements. The blue accent between blocks and the appliqued border is embroidered with pearl cotton. The quilt blocks were pieced together by machine and also lightly quilted by machine. The batting is a thin blanket. The backing is the same fabric used to bind the quilt. This is my first attempt using wool, and I love it! Presented to my eldest daughter, Lisa, as a house-warming gift Jan. 2008. Made a 2nd one this year, almost identical, to give to my daughter-in-law, Jenny, for a Christmas present.
