AJ's Quilt - This is a paper pieced pattern of beach huts, cabanas, palm trees and surfboards. I make it for my oldest son AJ. He hangs it on his wall in his bedroom.
Keiki Family - The Pattern "Keiki Hula" has little boys and girls in thier swimsuits. I changed the pattern to show me (in the center)...in a dress and my 3 boys and husband on each side of me. I also changed one of the boys...I made him shorter than the rest of us...to represent my youngest...he's only 6. I added extra long shorts on my husband...because that's all he wears.
Quilt for Corina - My sister Corina is not a quilter but she supports my "habit." She found a pattern she liked in a quilt shop in Silver City, NM. This year she heard that the local quilt store near her was closing so she purchased fabric to add to my stash. I used some of that fabric to make her this quilt.
My Amish Star - I was visiting family in Ohio and Pennsylvania and found a quilt shop in New Wilmington, PA. I found a sample of this quilt and had to make it. It's made of batiks and black solid fabric.
Nana's 95th Birthday Quilt - Made for Kathleen Morris to commemorate her 95th birthday, October 23, 2006. Birthday messages from family members were written on squares that were then set on point with sashing.
Circus Stars - Appliqued blocks were set using techniques from Margaret J. Miller's "Blockbuster Quilts." Quilt was a gift for granddaughter Ashleigh Morris.
Arizona en Mi Mente - Blocks were appliqued with southwestern motifs. Setting was designed with help from Margaret J. Miller in an "Empty Spools" class in Asilomar, CA, April 2005.
Chloe's Quilt - Made for my grandaughter. My friends Camille Vlasak, Ginger Terry, Dana Lynch and Connie Douglass helped me applique the dolls. Camille helped me with hand embriodery.
Tonka Tough - This baby quilt is made from a center panel. The center panel is trimmed and pieced with corner block and borders. Quick, easy and loved by little boys!
Unknown - My mother-n-law purchased this kit from the Stitchin Post in Sisters Oregon in 1999 and she doesn't quilt. So, she gave it to me to make. I only have a picture of the first 6 blocks, but I have finished it now and the quilter is in the process of quilting it. I will post a picture of the completed quilt in August.
David's Quilt - Foundation pieced and put together differently from the original pattern. Made for my son who is very creative and I knew he would enjoy a contemporary quilt.
