4th of July - The Grand Finale - I went on a wonderful Judy Niemeyer retreat on Flathead Lake in Montana this spring. I chose to do her 4th of July pattern, and am still working on it. I LOVE all of the bold colors that I chose!

Bejeweled - Stained glass effect, great piecing technique.

Semper Fidelis - This was made for a Marine who worked with my husband. It is the USMC, Eagle, Globe and Anchor, the details of the rope and eagle were satin stitched.

Amish Tulips - This is my first miniature quilt. It is 11 1/2" x 11 1/2." It is quilted with metallic theads and has a glitter cording in the center medallion. It is paper pieced, which I love doing! It is also one of my favorite quilts, as I love the Amish colors!

Pastel Reversible Quilt - Reverse side is scrappy w/cream background. I made blocks, quilted them, and played with them on the floor until I liked the design, which I wanted asymetrical, then assembled.

Summer Sunrise - This was one of my first quilts that I designed myself.

Sunset - This was really fun, I learned quite a bit about color and value while making this quilt.

Unnamed - Photo makes it look pink but is actually a shade of peach with the greens as the 2 main colors.

All American Baby - This is a baby quilt for my husband's cousin's first baby. The entire family love sports.

Raw Heat - I made this quilt using all the tools I learned in the pilot class for the book "Color and Composition" by Katie Pasquini Masopust and Brett Barker. It is raw edge applique and in warm tones, hence the name, Raw Heat. It is on page 46 of the published book.

Pacific Rhythms - This quilt was made by staff at the Centre for Online and Distance Education at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. It was given to Anne Seward and Alphonse Seward to commemorate their marriage in 2004.

Continental Drift - I made this quilt for my parents-in-law's fiftieth wedding anniversary. The front includes family pictures spanning fifty years. The back includes the couple's marriage certificate and the birth and marriage certificates of all their children and grandchildren. The label consists of a seventeen-stanza limerick outlining the family's history. The quilt is called "Continental Drift" because various members of the family have lived on every continent except South America and Antarctica--so far. :)

Catnap for Jackson - Staff at the Centre for Online and Distance Education at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, made this quilt for Greg Holoboff and Chris Holoboff on the birth of their second son, Jackson.

Gene's Cat House - I adapted the pattern by putting extra space around the cats and drafting foundation patterns for both the cat and the weathervane blocks. I also added cornerstones. I painted buttons for eyes, then stencilled paw prints around the border in gold paint. The quilt was supervised and tested at every stage by Aslan Brennan, my crabby (but lovable) little ginger cat. She even threw up on it a few times, to prove that it's a REAL cat quilt that can be washed. The quilt is called "Gene's Cat House" because my friend Gene's wife Maureen is afraid of cats, so the ones on this quilt are the only ones he'll ever be allowed to have in his house. :)

Sampler Quilt - Quilting 101 with Quilting with a Passion. Made one block a month so the quilt took more then a year to make.
