Mick's 25th birthday - Mick, my daughter's boyfriend, was drawn to red and black fabric in a quilt shop in Portland when I visited in March. I wanted him to have something to look at while studying at Chiropractic School. How could I not make him something; he went with us hopping from shop to shop.

Blue and Yellow Stars - I have always wanted a blue and yellow quilt--so when our group, Blockwatchers, at my LQS decided to make a Lemoyne Star quilt, I had to do it in blue and yellow. I hope to enter it in my local quild quilt show in 2008!

Georgia's Plates - I designed this quilt in EQ6 for the Dresden Plate secret pal blocks I received. The Dresden Plates were hand appliqued by Georgia Justus. I modified an Irish chain by making 5 9-patches with two color families in opposing directions. I also paper-pieced the bunting created from a wedding ring block and joined them with appliqued bows. My original quilting on my Bernina Aurora 440QE using the BSR and walking foot.
