Prissy Pinwheels - After sewing for nearly thirty years, I just made my very first quilt. I made it for my first grandbaby, Priscilla. I just wanted to see if I would like piecing blocks. Then I found this applique design from DesignsbyJuJu.com. We all know what happened next. Totally hooked! Despite my "beginners" workmanship on the quilting, I am tickled pink with this quilt...mostly because I actually finished it! Now for the next one...

Blue Boy Blue - I made this for my bestfriend of 35 yrs. for her birthday. We have 'code words' that we use when we are being crazy and stupid. "Blue boy" is the code...I wanted this to be a quilt of a lot of yo-yo's. I have been working on a series of yo-yo quilts that I hope one day to have published all in one book. I only used 2 blue yo-yo's in this quilt. A yo-yo for her and a yo-yo for me. BLUE BOY!

Rooster Doodle - Fun, fusible applique. The rooster's fun details are in the quilting. I love to use a lot of embellishments.

Whimsey #2-fly...pinwheels in summertime - This is the second 'Whimsey' I made to help display the class I am teaching locally. The class is the Circle of Friends Quilt Block Journal. The pattern for the Circle Journal will be available on my www.wishbonealleydesigns.com in October 2007.

Rooster Doodle in My Garden - I am designing a series of Rooster Doodles for my pattern company Stitch 321. This rooster is the second in my series.

Helena's Yo-Yo Garden - This wall quilt was inspired after my grandma passed away. She was the one who taught me how to sew. There is a family story of grandma making yo-yo's when we were little. When she died, I found out my older sister already had Gram's yo-yo quilt in her posession. I was MAD, who said she could have the quilt...I proceeded to make yo-yo's for my own quilt someday. In the meantime, Helena's Yo-Yo garden was made in honor of my grandma, who was loved so much!

fly little girl, fly... - I teach a class called 'Circle of Friends Quilt Block Journal'. I have named these little quilts, 'Whimsey Quilts'. Due to the size of the books these go into, the Whimsey's are only 8"-9". I am addicted to Whimsey Quilts! Rocky Mountains, Alberta - Rough edged applique - some thread painting -- I love the Canadian Rockies which are about an hour from here- I can see them out my window --each time I look they are different- always beautiful and interesting.

Butterfly Blues - My second Convergence quilt, a follow up to Red Glory, reflects my enjoyment of flowers and gardens. Trouble is: I find it too hot and humid to enjoy gardening in the summer here in FL sooooo what's a woman to do? Make flower quilts of course!

Bubbling Springs Beauties - I live on Florida's west coast just a few miles from the Gulf and manatees are common here all winter and spring. Our reknowned Homosassa Wildlife Park has manatees all year round. These gentle creatures ae fascinating and I love representing them in my work.

Ever Changing - had to try this after watching Lorraine Torrence demonstrate her curved collage method (author of book, Design Essentials) on Alex's old Simply Quilts show. Played on paper until I found design I liked.
