The Fab Four - Although I'm English this was made for an American/Japanese/German 'Music' friendship project. I chose the Pop category so I could pay tribute to the Beatles.
Winter Dance - It's basically a red and green quilt but the variety of fabrics makes this a pleasing quilt to look at any time of the year. I needed a take-along project, so I hand appliqued all the elements then machine quilted it with outlines, echos, stippling, cross-hatches and feathers.
Trafalgar - The battle's heroes: Collingwood, Nelson and his ship, Victory. Flags communicate, 'England expects that every man will do his duty'. Quilted with facts about Victory, her crew and her dead.
Midnight in the Garden - Machine embroidery pattern by Hatched in Africa. The quilt was designed by me and the subtitle is: I think that I shall never see another peacock in a tree. This was the third sew out and was to be the last whether it worked or not!
Purple Mystery - This quilt was made in response to a mystery quilt hosted by Heirloom Quilts in Poulsbo, WA. I finished my top first and so won a huge pile of purple fat quarters! My husband chose all the fabrics prior to the contest. I do love this quilt.
Linda's Rhapsody - I've always wanted to make a rhapsody quilt because Ricky's are so beautiful. My time and energy don't allow for many large quilts, so I've been doing samll "weekliles". this was the weekly for the week of October 4, '07. It's 11" square & sold!
Washington Park Elephants - I printed a photo of the elephants done in brick at Washington Park, Portland Oregon. The image and frame are fabric fused to Fast2fuse or Timtex (can't remember which I used).
Summer Flowers - This is a whole cloth quilt. The fabric is a sun print. It is heavily beaded around the leaves. There is no quilting or other stitching.
