Heather's 3rd Birthday Quilt
Name of Maker: Sarah Vedeler
Heather's 3rd Birthday Quilt - This was going to be a caveman style quilt, only I liked the curves in my original sketch and they were too curvy for caveman quilting!
Krist's $5.00 Quilt
Name of Maker: Kristi and Janjan

Emily's Puff Quilt
Name of Maker: Grandma Janjan
Emily's Puff Quilt - This was demo'd at our Bee in Harlingen TX. Didn't really want to make one, but then changed my mind!
Hidden Life
Name of Maker: Elizplummer
Hidden Life - I made this quilt as my final piece of work for my City & Guilds Patchwork & Quilting course. The idea for this design came from watching the BBC Natural World programme where crocodiles had been found in the Sahara desert, even though it was dry for most of the year. I used the pictures from Michael Palin’s website based on his book Inside Sahara as my design source for the desert images. The blue represents the river Nile where many crocodiles live and where they used to be worshipped as gods in ancient Egypt. It contains handdyed and commercial fabrics, foundation piecing, layering and slashing and free motion quilting.
Youthful Hubris
Name of Maker: Georjana Mauldiin
Youthful Hubris - I took this class at the local quilt shop - Patchwork Place, Norman Ok. I planned to make this quilt for my niece who is attending Oklahoma State University in the honors program. I made if for her dorm room. The fabric has cats, dogs, hairdryers, flowers, suns, perfume bottles, books, etc. I selected a lot of the fabrics from the children's section of the quilt store. It is bright and wonderful. The teacher taught the class using Aunt Gracie's - which I love - but I wanted something different. So this is bright and beautiful. I'd paper piece again. I also used a fusible to add the hearts in the middle of the diamonds.
Fairies and Cherries, and Everything Else
Name of Maker: Georjana Mauldin
Fairies and Cherries, and Everything Else - I took this class at the Norman Area Quilt Guild. We had to have 48 different fabrics for the squares. I am new to quilting, and gathered the fabrics late one night. I only have 49 fat quarters in my stash to use. The fabrics are of all kinds - some have fairies on them and some have cherries on them. It came out well. I use it as a table topper in my pink kitchen.
Beginners Luck
Name of Maker: Georjana Mauldin
Beginners Luck - This is my first quilt - corner stones seams don't match at points - seams aren't straight. I was going to make something for my husband, but I fell in love with Aunt Gracie fabrics. So it matches my sewing room - yellow and purple.

Autumn Winds
