Swirls and Twirls - Not sure if it is a traditional pattern. made by strip piecing then cutting using triangular rulers and using cut pieces and "left overs" to make two blocks. Workshop at LQS.
Wedding Story - Signature Wedding quilt, designed for my friends daughters wedding this year. All blocks refer to something to do with a wedding or romance.Quilts like this one are for sale.
Noelle's Quilt - This was done with a Japanese fabric that has large peacocks and scenes on it and the border was pieced, rather than the Pepper Cory designed fabric of large urns and a wide ribboned border.
Steve's Quilt - This version is done with a vibrant floral pattered fabric in the showcase squares, and the quilting is specific to show off that fabric.
Star Struck - This quilt took awhile because of all the small pieces in the borders, but it was worth it. I love batiks and love these colors. The squares and triangles are 3-D.
Strolling the Block - This was one of my first quilts though I got sidetracked for a while and it joined the other UFO's till I decided to finish it. I added the sky blue/pink border in place of the scrappy one in the original instructions. Every block has a cat or 2!
Bits and Pieces of the Holidays - I love Christmastime and like to decorate all through the house. The house isn't that big so I tend to make smaller scale pieces for display; this small wall hanging fits easily into any room. It's colors are softer than the traditional reds and greens of the holiday. The bells entertain my three cats!
Go ahead, Count the chickens - I added a basic basket block and mixed them with Sharlene Jorgenson's chicken block from Quilting in the Heartland. The chicken block is based on a log cabin design.
Crazy Steps to Reno - This quilt was based on the pattern Crazy Courthouse Steps by Heidi Pridemore as published in American Quilter magazine (Projects 2007). My blocks are 12" instead of 9". I loved using the bright prints! The back is lime green with multi-colored dots.
