circle of hugs
Name of Maker: kukana31
circle of hugs - This quilt was made for my daughter who had joined the Peace Corps and was sent to Senegal West Africa. The quilt is made with some of my vast collection of snowflake material, as our family loves winter and snow. Our daughter has been skiing since age 3, our dog's name is Snowflake -ect. so the use of these fabrics would remind her of home. I used the kaleidescope motive since it gives the impression of circles(hugs). She has left the Peace Corps and is doing some traveling and is currently in Australia.

Tina's Canadian Maple
Name of Maker: Linda Clark
Tina's Canadian Maple - This two block quilt combines four patch and nine patch in a novel way. Seams inside the blocks match, but between blocks it’s mathematically impossible. The result is unexpected harmony.
transportation quilt
Name of Maker: Dayledbl
transportation quilt - This was from a panel I bought at the Vermont Quilt show. I couldn't resist it and didn't know what I was going to do with it I did know that I had to use it up in one quilt. My friend Barbara from work had a new grandson. I used flannel for the back. It reminds me of the 1950's, when I was a child.

Family Ties
Name of Maker: kmclaugh
Family Ties - Set out to learn machine applique on a small project that would use up some scraps. This was a lot of fun to make. Did the quilting myself -- still need a lot of practice on that. Sorry, I can't figure out how to make the image vertical.
Just for me
Name of Maker: kmclaugh
Just for me - Drafted this based on a photo of a wallhanging in Keepsake Quilting catalog. I learned the hard way how important it is to include seam allowances between blocks when calculating the quilt size! It's a bit narrow and short, but iwith one side of the bed against the wall, no one knows the difference :-)

Reflections of God's Skin
Name of Maker: Wendy Butler Berns
Reflections of God's Skin - I wish the people of the world would take time to observe how nature celebrates diversity. Everywhere, the colors of God’s skin co-exist in harmony. All of the colors of the majestic, towering tree individually shine while at the same time unite in a harmonious symphony. I wish the colors of the people of the world would do the same.

Pure Joy, Imagine That
Name of Maker: Wendy Butler Berns
Pure Joy, Imagine That - This quilt was chosen as one of the 50 quilts for the 2006 Husqvarna Viking Gallery of Art. The image of my daughter leaping for joy, just for the fun of it inspired me. Ahhh, to frolic with jubilant mirth and delight for no other reason than just for the pleasure of it. Imagine that!
