San Diego October 2007 - Inspired by the horrendous photos of the wild fires burning in San Diego in Ocober of 2007. My heart and prayers are with those that lost homes, pets and loved ones. May God bless and restore you.

Praise Him - This quilt was made for my pastor. It hangs in the sanctuary of my church.

Undecided - I fell asleep one night recently with a decision turning over in my brain. The engineer in me processes decisions using a matrix or table weighing the alternatives against criteria with scores or ratings filling in the grid. The image of a matrix and the decision at hand, wove itself into my chaotic, nonsensical dreams as I slept. I kept waking up to seeing grids with grey areas of uncertainty. I saw bits of red as my neurons were firing trying to decide WHAT I SHOULD DO. This quilt shows the weaving of my dreams with choices to be made.
This piece is a part of the Transatlantic Challenge and is on tour in the US and UK.
Doug's cabin retreat - I made this quilt for my brother-in-law. He helped to select the pattern and the fabrics. Tears of joy sprang to his eyes when he saw the completed quilt.
War is hell on the homefront too! - This was a Block of the Month, its a good thing too, looking back, I don't know that I would have made it, the pattern didn't have rotary cutting, it was templates and I was so new to quilting that I didn't have a clue as to what to do with them, but it is finished and square, yeah...
Using up the stash(so I can buy MORE0 - The quilt was designed by Me and My Sister Designs, it was published in a magazine, I just added the fabric and success. Its a nice size for our queen bed.
Pleasantville - I love the set in bias strip between the free form curves. It was exciting to see the ebb and flow of the curves highlighted by the red
Mountains at Sunrise - From my stash of batiks I was able to pull most of the fabrics for this quilt. It was fun to play with the color range. This was displayed at Sister's Quilt Show 2007
Abstract Spring - The quilts composition is completely made up of my favorite block the Nine Patch. Curving and blending the colors, textures was a wonderful journey in design. The process always teaches me so much about myself.
Cherries - Cherries is the quilt printed on the front of my "Inspiration" pattern. It is an easy strip pieced quilt design by me and is great for that "get it finished NOW" project
Friendship Quilt - I purchased this quilt top on Ebay, dated July 21, 1934, there were two blank signature blocks,
so I signed one and dated it 2007 and had my mom sign one and dated 2007, as I was going to quilt it, it became a 2007, vintage quilt. :0).
I quilted a very simple clam shell and washed it and dried it, for the great vintage look.
Millenium Star - Made a wallhanging from one Star, from Peggy Martin's book.
Finally got to quilt it after Christmas.. guess I'm ahead for next year. :0)
Springs' Butterflies - I do love the Hoffman fabrics. So if my last name is Hoffman why not do the Hoffman Challenge?
This was my first entry for the Hoffman Challenge.I worked on many ideas for this 2007 challenge, even waking up in the night with an idea on how to make the corners.
I have started working on a quilt for this years challenge(2008). The fabric is grreat.
Broken Hearts - Took quilting class at community College. This was the first quilt that I had made in 10 years.
Why Did I stop quilting, you ask? Raising 4 kids and working full time. Now that I am retired I get to quilt, go to quilt show , take quilt classes and go to "specil" quilt seminars with Ricky, Alex and Libby.
