Memories of Grand Tetons
Name of Maker: Nannae
Memories of Grand Tetons - I did this for my husband. We were blessed by being able to go to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone several years ago. We both love the mountains and the wildlife in them. This reminds us both of that trip. This was a panel print that I cut the apart. I added sashing only to it as I wanted the panel print to be showcased. I freemotioned quilted it on a Gammil long arm with a varigated thread. Hope this inspires you to do a quilt that reminds you of a great vaction you had.
Brown, black and white but pretty.
Name of Maker: Nannae
Brown, black and white but pretty. - I just fell in love with the fabric. One of my quilt shops, "Gotta Have It Quilt Shop" in Baldwyn Ms. had one made up. So I bought the last kit and had a lot of fun making it. Even though the colors are muted and somewhat on the dull side, I thought the white flowers really perked it up. It is a very pretty quilt. I machine pieced it on a Bernian 1250 and free motioned quilted it on a long arm machine. I did a meandering large stippling type quilting on it. This block and type quilting lets the fabric show up. Which is what I like best about quilting, the fabrics!!! Hope you enjoy looking at my quilts.
Daddy Myron's Star
Name of Maker: whisperingpines
Daddy Myron's Star - In July 2005 I had just finished making this Star Quilt for a Give-Away for my 72 year-old father, who had passed away one year earlier. Our son came home from the Navy with his wife and two sons for a visit. My husband, our son & daughter-in-law, and one of our daughters and I had a family Quilting Bee. We finished handquilting that 90" X 90" quilt in about 3 days. It was presented in honor of my father to a lady, who's father had been a close friend to my father for many years. The quilts was mauves, sky blues, burgundies, olive greens and beiges. It was truly a work of love in memory of my father, Myron.

the brown quilt
Name of Maker: Cindy Bettinger plus unknown
the brown quilt - I bought the center of this quilt in an ebay auction - a fairly uninspiring 3 block by 4 block set of stars with sashing. I was inspired to get out my browns and to a whole border of my own stars, in a scrappy brown setting, and cut wonky. In 2009, I donated this quilt to Cesar's Dog Whisperer auction to raise money for abandoned dogs.
