Stars and Stripes - I started this quilt in 2000 in a BOM class. I gave up with the hand applique block. I started machine applique in 2008. This was given to a student of mine who served in Afghanistan.

A Convergence of Dogwoods - I used dogwood themed batiks from a shop hop. I embellished the quilt with a border, padded appique and gold braid around some of the appliques. The quilting is motiff quilting for every other row with rectangular patterns in between and extremely detailed echo quilting in the border.

Seattle Mania - Created for a dear friend who loves Seahawks and Mariners, I found novelty prints with Seahawks and Mariners logos and mixed with various coordinating shades of blues and grays. Quilt is backed with a dark blue denim. He absolutely loves it and only brings it out for show, as he's afraid to actually use it. My intention was for him to take it to the games to keep warm.

Cream Batik Baltimore - Started at a workshop with Jacquie Harvey at Wroxham Barns and then finished very slowly over about four years. The blocks are taken from different books - I just picked the ones I liked. I saw a postage stamp size quilt in similar colourways and thought it would be a different approach to a Baltimore. The border is my own design.
