Happy Birthday Celebration for #3 - Being a NASCAR fan of the late Dale Earnhardt I made this for my husband. On the 3rd lap of the Spring Race at Talledaga there would be a lap of silence. It was during this time we held our banner up high!!

Dakota's Quilt - I embroidered the quilt blocks with baby items and used his name and birthdate to personalize it. On back is a label with date and my special love for my last granbaby.

Prairie Stars - I took a class with Kathy Wierzbicki at the Nashville Quilt show last year. This pattern is what we began in that class. In the midst of moving from TN to CA I've had little time to work on it until now.

Feed Dogs round robin - I belong to a friendship group called the "feed dogs", we love to eat and sew, drink wine and be merry!! We had a round robin and I came out with this beautiful wall hanging which hangs in my bedroom. Thanks to Sophia, Stephanie, Keith, Danny!!!

FIESTA IN FABRIC - LOVED THIS QUILT WHEN I FIRST SAW IT--KNEW I HAD TO MAKE IT.  I STARTED MAKING THIS QUILT ON A 10 DAY CRUISE ABOARD THE QUEEN MARY II.  I WOULD SIT IN DIFFERENT PLACES AROUND THE SHIP AND DO THE REVERSE APPLIQUE (THE MAN AND WOMAN).I LOVE JANE'S PATTERNS!!

FIESTA DE LAS MUJERES - I FOUND THIS POSTER ON INTERNET-DECIDED TO TRY TO REPLICATE ON FABRIC. I HAD TO BLOW THE DESIGN UP ON FREEZER PAPER WITH AN OVERHEAD PROJECTOR. I PLAYED WITH FABRIC PAINT FOR THE FACES. USED FANCY SEWING STITCHES AROUND THE BRIM OF THE HATS. JUST HAD LOTS OF FUN. I CUT OUT LADIES FROM A FABRIC AND APPLIQUED THEM AROUND THE BORDER.

Friendlily Blossoming - Dana Lynch, Mary Holman, Bridget Lilja, Wanda Myers, Mary Kay Runyan, Cindy Bell Neville, Hanne-Grete Brink, and Karen Fitzpatrick are the Amazing 8. It is Amazing that prior to TQS, none of us knew each other. We met through the forum and blogs, became friends, met each other at the Houston Quilt Show and in 2010 decided to try our hand at entering a quilt to the show. Each of us made a panel of the original picture by Bridget Lilja. This quilt hung in the juried section of the Houston Quilt Fest 2011. In the future the quilt will be auctioned off and the proceeds will be donated to charity.

Flags All Around - I was looking for something patriotic to make for our summer Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day holidays. The kit for this quilt was purchased from Connecting Threads.

Monkey'n Around - Made for daughter's friend who loves monkeys and chose this color palette for her baby's nursery

Albuquerque Petroglyph Convergence - This is a beautiful petroglyph material made into a convergence quilt. Inspiration from the petroglyphs in ABQ, N.M. Part of the weekend quilting bee. I need to add a hand applique.

Stripes and Flowers - This is just the top as I have not quilted it yet. It is fused applique with blanket stitch machine applique on the edges.

Kindred Spirits - A BOM from Dakota Cabin Quilts. Fabrics are from Maywood. Sixteen star blocks made from eight separate block patterns, using different fabrics. Fabrics by Maywood. Machine pieced and quilted.

Butternut & Blue - This is project I have been working on with a friend. We have not completed it yet but having so much fun working on it together.
