Ty's Quilt - This quilt was made for my son's high school graduation in 2007, but it didn't get finished until this year. Tom (who chose the colors) is in the marching band at Michigan State University, so the green forms a modified "S" for the Spartans of Michigan State.

Lance's First Wheels - The cars were cut out of novelty fabric, faced with muslin and inscribed with blessings for the new baby. The garages are open at the top to allow the cars to be moved in and out.

Night Blooming Peonies - Inspired by an article on fractals in Quilter's Newsletter, I played with the concept using a large oriental print. Design challenges led to the black borders and heavy quilting with metallic threads.

Bill's Arizona Sunset - I wanted to make a quilt that was specifically for my husband, but that would fit into our home colors/theme. We live in AZ and we have wonderful beautiful sunsets, which are reflected in the colors of this quilts fabrics. pieced fabrics are Batik (which is my favorite fabric choice). The backing is a solid piece of 100% cotton marbled effect.

4-Patch Posies

4-Patch Posies - I enjoyed seeing how each block comes out different using this method. I quilted the posie blocks by using a Holice Turnbow quilting design and my embroidery module. I then drew a floral design on quilting paper and used my BSR foot to quilt the borders. I am not that pleased with my quilting work but had to start somewhere.

French Bouquet - I started this quilt at our winter retreat. I machine appliqued all the pieces. I had it long arm quilted by two ladies in Bonners Ferry, ID and am just thrilled with the work that they did.

Breast Cancer Rose Quilt 2008 - Wholecloth, trapunto, free-motion quilted on Radiance fabric (silk/cotton) with 100# YLI silk thread. I made this recently as I was undergoing testing/biopsies for "suspicious abnormalities". Praise the Lord, the abnormalities are fibrocystic changes! This small quilt reminds me that life is subject to change!
