Orange ya glad? - This darling quilt is pieced by hand and is one of the workshops I offer. I love having a grab-n-go project for car trips or TV time. The crosshatching is done on the longarm and for this quilts small size was very time consuming. This quilt is also a "Charm" quilt in the true sense, as none of the print fabrics are alike.
My Promise - This is my first quilt. I wanted to make one for my son the way my mother had made one for me. So I took the basics that I knew and went for it. I made several mistakes, but I loved every minute of it. I have since then completed 2 other quilt tops and have drafted plans for 3 others!
I named this "My Promise." Rainbows symbolize promises, and I wanted a physical manifestation of my promise to him that I will always love him.
Natalie's Dream - I collected Egyptian-themed fabrics for a quilt for my niece, Natalie, who is an archaeologist. The "Strips 'n Curves" technique seemed the best way to put them together, and the abstract quality is like images in a dream. Perhaps she will get to work in Egypt some day.
Sailing the Deep Blue Sea - This quilt has sailboats and a lighthouse above the water, and a turtle and several fish below the water. It was made for my sister's first grandson.
Linus day quilt - Our local project Linus group had a day when all the blanketeers got together and sewed for the day This is the result of my efforts.
Bears for Baby - I made the quilt from receiving blankets as I couldn't find fabric to match the nursery bedding. Bears are all embroidered. I tied this quilt instead of machine quilting.
My Heart Belongs to Daddy - My father passed away before I could finish this quilt and give to him. An embroidered heart in the center of one block was accidently omitted....my heart is with him.
Learn and Grow - Soft book panels set in blocks, machine quilt each block to cotton batting and flannel,added a border, rag cut blocks. Back blocks make a rail fence pattern.

RMS Queen Mary - RMS Queen Mary was exhibited in 2008 at International Quilt Festival Long Beach. Label reads:
"She sits majestically in the Port of Long Beach while the sun cast shadows on her cold steel, but she is anything but cold. The Queen Mary has wrapped her arms around many souls during war time and peace time."
Grandmothers Baskets - My mother in-law Lola McCann started this quild before getting sick and passing away. My Daughter wanted a good Quilt from her so I finally finished it. With the color of trim work she wanted and after 10 yrs. Michelle and husband Matthew were thrilled. The tag on the Quil says Started by Lola McCann and Finally finished by Brenda McCann 12/2005
Stars and pinwheels - I started to make this quilt 6 years ago, had 4 blocks ready, then messed up the cutting and put it in a box in the closet... Recently cleaned out the closet, found it and finished it in a day just waiting for the Baby to be born... :)
