In Remembrance - I thought I'd post this quilt that I made "In Remembrance" of Him, to honor Him. I used photos of a young man in our church, Jerry McGahuey, as a model for my painting. The hair part is from his wife, Wendy. It was challenging to take on this adventure. The quilt made the trip to the Houston & Paducah jurried shows.

I made sure his wife could find him by tying the quilt with red yarn...like laser beams!!! All in fun. All cotton...approx. 52" X 52".

A Walk in the Fall - This quilt raised $2500 for the Chaffee County Mammography fund - - made in honor of 3 friends who are all breast cancer survivors. I used 25 different neutrals and 33 prints in this scrappy version. It was the first quilt I completed on my longarm, and I hated to part with it. Fortunately the raffle winner is nearby, so I guess I could always "visit"!

Swallowtail with Purple Coneflower - This quilt was inspired by a photo I took in my garden. The butterfly and flowers were painted on PFD using Tsukineko inks, then fused to a hand dyed background. This technique was taught in a workshop by Patt Blair.
