CHANGING LEAVES
Name of Maker: Susan Hilsenbeck
CHANGING LEAVES - Blocks are piecing exercises from Ruth's book -- very challenging, but very satisfying once accomplished.
Seeing reverse
Name of Maker: momratz
Seeing reverse - I wanted to do both an applique version of a Hawaiian quilt and a reverse applique version. This worked out great as I had to do reverse applique on one in order to avoid the dreaded shadows. I got the small size by not blowing up the pattern as directed..... but it was harder to do in the small size.

sampler
Name of Maker: Joyce Boudreau
sampler - Although this is a traditional sampler quilt, I introduced some of the Jinny Beyer border fabrics to make the squares in the middle of some of the blocks and used that fabric as a border as well. That was the first time I used Jinny's technique to creating interesting mirror image squares from border fabrics. Since then, I have been hooked on her fabrics.
Pinwheel
Name of Maker: Joyce Boudreau
Pinwheel - This was a fun little quilt to make and I like it on the top of a small table in my entrance. It is made of nine rows of nine 6" squares and the cutting makes the magic happen.. I love this pattern.
Trading Places
Name of Maker: Tina Kirschling
Trading Places - This was fun to make. I used a hand dyed cotton gradation to piece the background. The quilt is finished with lots of threadpainting.
Mystery Beach Quilt
Name of Maker: Joyce Boudreau
Mystery Beach Quilt - This was to be a Mystery Quilt at a local quilt shop in River John, in July, 2008. When we arrived, and just started the 'Mystery Quilt', the power went out, not to be returned that day. A few days later, I made the quilt using the directions given. I do not know the name of it, but I call it my Mystery Beach Quilt. It was made for my cottage and has beach fabrics in the blocks.
Adoration
Name of Maker: Mary Doidge
Adoration - I designed this quilt 3 years ago when I was taking a Quilt University course with Dena Crain. I procrastinated about making it because I wasn't sure how I wanted to approach constructing it, and I was dithering about the color palette and border treatment. I'm glad I waited.

Snowflake Quilt
Name of Maker: Rhodylady
Snowflake Quilt - It's snowing so much here in western Washington I thought this might appease the snow gods! The top only is finished, it is not quilted yet. I'm thinking baby blue metallic thread? I saw the original quilt done in lighter blues at Ruby Street Quiltworks in Tumwater, WA.
