Fiesta Beauty - This was my first paper pieced quilt -- at least that I actually finished. Only the spiked areas are paper pieced. I used all fabrics from my stash. I have lots of bright colors and I thought it turned out to look more like a Mexican fiesta than Hawaii (which the designer envisioned).
Mya's Diamond Rainbow - Was cutting scraps into 4" squares when I decided to do my Great Niece, Mya a quilt. Was originally going for scrappy pinwheels but got playing at the design wall and created this. Loved the rainbow effect. Machine quilted with loop de loos. Notice the rebel block in the bottom right corner. That's my block to prove only God can make something perfect.
Fractured Chrysanthemums - This is an amazingly easy and effective technique! It's sort of a combination of bargello and Ricky's convergence technique, and the result is rather impressionistic.
Fresh Tradition - I made this quilt designed by Darlene Zimmerman using Judie Rothermel's 30's reproduction prints by Marcus Fabrics. It was made for the 3 month old little girl I babysit 2 days a week; it just suits her!
Metal Gear Solid - This quilt was made for my oldest son, Andrew, as a college graduation gift. Andrew printed the pictures on fabric, and I did the rest.
Name of Maker: Brenda Breadon and Columbine quilt guild
In the Vineyard - I designed this quilt top to be the 2007 raffel quilt for the Columbine Quilt Guild in Arvada, Colorado. I drafted the 12 1/2 inch square blocks as paper foundation and cut strips and made block kits to hand out to members to sew. I did the applique in the center and borders and qulted with trapunto and lots of back fill on my longarm.
Rubiks Cube - Made with solid colors (red, green & blue) on a black background ~ an Amish woman's original design. Requested to have it quilted with feathering (white thread on black background).
Smooth Sailing - Create this for my boyfriends 50th birthday! This is one of my favorite designs ~ love that illusion of curves, using all straight lines.
Rainbow After The Storm - Dear friend commissioned me to make him a quilt. After selecting & completing the most colorful quilt I make, I found out he was color-blind. Was quilted with a swirl ~ everywhere except the star points. Center squares were a Hoffman print with white background (more colorful in person).
Civil War Sampler - One block design & fabric received from twelve quilt shops: The Back Door, Quilts Plus, Quilters Patch, Homestead Hearth, Common Threads, Quilt Merchant, Carriage House Quilt Shop, Oklahoma Quiltworks, Stitch 'n Frame, Quakertown Quilts, and Bonnie Blue Quilts.
Twisted Mexico - These blocks were paper-pieced. I took this block and discovered, when I put the fabric choices together, it made these twisted lines throughout the quilt. So, it had to be called 'Twisted Mexico'.
Posh - MY friends say this is my bright stage lol
it's made from a moda jelly roll in the Posh range, and then quilted by a friend who runs her own long arm quilting business Tosh Quilts
