Anna's Lone Star
Name of Maker: Ruth McCabe
Anna's Lone Star - This is a pretty clasisic block (I think) that I arranged to suit what I like. All fabrics are 100% cotton handed by me. It is actually my first attempt at a lone star, there is a sister to this quilt at family members that turned out much neater. If I can ever get my nearly 3 year old to surrender it for a few days I will quilt the corners.

Mostly Scotty
Name of Maker: KelliWolfe
Mostly Scotty - I started the BOM last January and decided it was to "primary" for me so I stopped at a wall hanging size.
Un-named
Name of Maker: Michelle Curtis
Un-named - This was my very first finished quilt made for my Mom's 60th birthday. It is a very basic pattern and quilted in the ditch.
Chocolate Baby Kisses
Name of Maker: Slozano
Chocolate Baby Kisses - Baby quilt made for a friend. Nursery colors were chocolate brown and pink. I love this quilt so much that I am making another one for me!
Love Quilt
Name of Maker: Ruth
Love Quilt - Made for the TQS Big Love challenge. Except for the fabric used in the boarder, all the fabric was hand dyed bleached calico. It's the first piece that I have made that is designed to be hung on the wall. There was very little planning involved I just made it up as I went along and am pretty happy with the end result. It was a nice change from having to worry about points and seam allowances. The young lady in the photo is my oldest when she was about 13 ( 15 going on 21now).
Heide's Curves
Name of Maker: NA
Heide's Curves - Started in a class on Curved Log Cabin with Janice Gunner. All the fabrics except the black are from Heide Stoll-Weber.
I Dig Dinos
Name of Maker: Debra Johnston
I Dig Dinos - I made this quilt for a co-worker's 3 year old nephew. I thougt the colors and the pinwheels would be just right for him. I only had two days to complete the project and given more time I would have done a few things different, but overall I think it came out just right.
Melissa's Choice
Name of Maker: NanaPie
Melissa's Choice - I used reproduction Civil War fabrics.
Star Living Room Quilt
Name of Maker: Jane Anne Ramey
Star Living Room Quilt - I needed a new wall hanging when I painted my living room! So I made this using Sawtooth Star, Jacob's Ladder, Pinwheel, and Four Patch blocks.
Beyond Beautiful
Name of Maker: Jan Reed
Beyond Beautiful - Begun in a class with Pam Holland. Nine values from black to gray were used with a raw edged applique technique to create this portrait of Audrey Hepburn. A beaded trim was added just inside the looped binding treatment taught by Sharon Schamber. Portrait and background are set in to Alex Anderson's Whisperings border fabric. Inner eyes and lips enhanced with Prismacolor pencils.

My snowballs
Name of Maker: Karen
My snowballs - Our local quilt group did a challenge with a bright print fabric. We all purchased a yard of the focus fabric. About ten of us each cut a10 inch square of a fabric of our choice for each quilter. We made whatever we wanted, using all the fabrics. We were allowed to add more if we wanted.
Circles for Trey
Name of Maker: Grandma Karen
Circles for Trey - My daughter picked out the fabrics for her then, baby to be. She did all the cutting and fusing. I did the applique, the other grandma and an aunt to be helped tie threads. Then I finished the rest.
Emily's cats
Name of Maker: Barbara Helgaker
Emily's cats
Log Cabin
Name of Maker: Marié du Toit
Log Cabin - I made this mainly from scraps in my scrap baskets- but needed to cut some of the fabric from yardage.
Diamond Star Detail
Name of Maker: Erin Underwood
Diamond Star Detail - Detail of the Quilting.
Diamond Star
Name of Maker: Erin Underwood
Diamond Star - I saw a black and white photo of a Lone Star quilt and because the colors were all grays, it looks like strip piecing. I was inspired and developed this diamond shaped log cabin block. Now I realize that I have re-invented the wheel and this is not a new concept but it is lovely, just the same. And so so sooo easy!
tangled tulips
Name of Maker: Jordan Elise Durbin
tangled tulips - I had been wanting to try appliquéing for some time, and decided this was it! I love the look of appliqué over top of piecing and knew I wanted to try to incorporate both elements. I loved the handwork and the fact that I could truly sit down while doing the appliqué part. I had seen pictures of an antique quilt with little stripe-y tulips that were pieced, but decided instead to appliqué the stripes over top of the base on this quilt.
