Joseph's Quilt
Name of Maker: Cathy Blaylock
Joseph's Quilt - This quilt was made for my great nephew Joseph Russell, from my father's shirts. My father who passed away three years ago, always told stories about his mother using everything until it was gone. She quilted from old clothes because they had no money for new fabric. He told those stories with great pride in his voice. I think he would be very happy that my sister and I put his shirts to good use. She made a beautiful lap quilt for my mother and I managed to get this one made. ( my first official pieced quilt) It's not perfect, but there is a lot of love in it. My Father's name was Joe, and they call the baby Joe. You can view my sister's quilt on her profile. Karen Pelletier TQS name sugarmuffin57. And she is just that!!
