Splendid Stars Sampler - I wanted to mix pinks and greens using limited silk pieces in a sampler block approach. This quilt was a journey to explore mixing various patterns and colors to make a pleasing appearance.
Rainbow Galaxy - I took a paper piecing class to learn this technique. I was amazed how beautiful the pattern came together using Peggy Martin's instructions. Great challenge with exceptional results.
Woven with Love - Inspired by the novel, "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society." Quilted in circles with Superior Rainbow thread using 80/20 hobbs batting. Made a two sided binding. Will be a gift to a new baby at some point.
Baby Quilt for Project Linus - A friend gifted me with a package of 5-inch Moda squares. I thought they would look lovely in a very simple design. The quilt was donated to Project Linus in Ohio.
Log Cabin Recycled Shirt Quilt - I love the use of recycled shirts in making this log cabin quilt. This time I used a rounded corner on the edging and am pleased with out that turned out. Batting is Hobbs Heirloom 80/20. Fabrics are all 100 percent cotton gleaned from men's shirts.
Stars For A New Day - I joined TQS in May 2009 and started on the BOM shortly after, using mostly fabrics in my stash. It took me a year working month by month. I made the quilt a little longer by adding a top and bottom border before the final row of stars. I am thrilled with the outcome and have had so many compliments on it. I can't wait to enter it in shows.
Ruth's Quilt - My friend Ruth had a Dresden Plate quilt when she was a little girl. I wanted to give her soemthing special for her 75th birthday, so I made this quilt in her favourite colour - blue!
Eagle Scout Celebration - This quilt was made for my grandson's Eagle Scout Celebration. He became an Eagle Scout when he was 14. He picked the various badges appliqued to the quilt that were important to him personally.
