SHAYNA
Name of Maker: LYNNA
SHAYNA - I gathered 5 non quilters together to particate in this quilt before the birth of Shayna. Grandma, Great Grandma, Aunt and 2 special family friend and myself. We had a blast. I dumped a bucket of fabric, had them pick combinations, iron, trace, etc. I sewed the quilt top and then sent it to Shantal Anderson to quilt. My friend Aniko drew the faces on the quilt. It was a fun, personalized gift.
DIVERSITY BACK SIDE
Name of Maker: LYNNA
DIVERSITY BACK SIDE - I USED SCRAPS FROM THE FRONT SIDE OF THE QUILT. THERE WAS A LARGE OPEN AREA AND MY BROTHER LOVES ELEPHANTS, SO MY FRIEND WANDA USED HER CRICUT MACHINE TO CUT ELEPHANTS. HE LOVED THEM ON THE QUILT.
Lexa's Angel
Name of Maker: Susan Cook
Lexa's Angel - I designed this block a few years ago but never sewed it out until last week. I was looking for a way to help my friend Nicole Cleland, and her family, cope with a recent tragedy. She was hit by a drunk driver December 6th and her 7 yr old daughter Lexa was killed. I have been offering this pattern as a thank to people who donate to The Cleland Family Fund. Contact me for more info.
Owls for Graycie
Name of Maker: Grayciesgrammy
Owls for Graycie - I needed something "funky" and chose a pattern by Camille Roskelley. I used that as a base and developed my own twist. Thanks to Dale Fleming, all of those circles were a breeze. The owls have chenille bodies.
Flowers for Niche
Name of Maker: Margi Young
Flowers for Niche - I enlarged the pattern 60%, then added more sky, clouds and birds to fit the space. (Thanks to Rhonda Anderson for the idea.)
Crested Butte
Name of Maker: Margi Young
Crested Butte - My first attempt at painting the fabric to make it the way I wanted it.
A Walk in New York

A Walk in New York - This quilt reminds me of my walks around NYC. The parks and plants, the buildings with glass and brick and the streets and sidwwalks.
Ripple
Name of Maker: CarlH
Ripple - A drop of water, ripples to the edge of the quilt. Not quite round, but what ripple really is.
Tree Skirt
Name of Maker: Nan Tuckerman
Tree Skirt - Many years ago I bought a tree skirt from an on-line auction site. 2 years ago I tracked down the seller and asked her for a copy of her pattern but she said it had been so long she didnt have a pattern so I just made it up from the one I bought. I am not aware of a published pattern.

Harper's baby quilt
Name of Maker: LauraW. Boehl
Harper's baby quilt - Very Simple quilt. I used pieced Moda fabric for the front panel and cut outs from another fabric by Moda that I fused onto the pieced panel. I added 2 other fabrics for the borders and quilted in straight lines. I had this quilt done in about 3 days.
Bethlehem Star
Name of Maker: Joyce Triezenberg
Bethlehem Star - The "Bethlehem Star" is a traditional layout variation of the "Lone Star." I think it is a design the Amish would use. I designed this one using EQ7. More pictures can be seen on my blog, http://quiltsbyjoyce.wordpress.com/2010/12/22/marilyns-quilted-completed/ .
Yankees in Tara
Name of Maker: Jackie OBrien
Yankees in Tara - My sister and I have been searching for ancestors when we stumbled on the Town of Vienna, NY website where there is a story of the town's history. In that story we found many family members listed as soldiers in the Civil War. I took that information and embroidered it into the blocks of this quilt for my sister for Christmas. On the label I embroidered all the women's maiden and married names to the lineage.
If These Threads Could Talk
Name of Maker: Jackie OBrien
If These Threads Could Talk - I used a random crazy quilt block to contruct a geneology quilt. Grandparents embroidered on top border great-grandparents on eith side border. Five children embroidered on top 5 blocks, their subsequent children and grandchildren emboidered on the blocks below them. I added an embroidered peackock as it represeents resyrection, renewal & imortality.
(Something) In the Sky With Diamonds
Name of Maker: Jan Billings
(Something) In the Sky With Diamonds - Made for my brother who admired my hollow cube sampler. It hasn't been gifted to him yet (Christmas 2010) - considering appliqueing some circles in the blue "sky".
Silver Fox at Kotel
Name of Maker: Bridget Paley
Silver Fox at Kotel - In honor of Grace's Bat Mitzvah I designed her totem Silver Fox standing at the Kotel/Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.
Thimbleberries Club 2008
Name of Maker: quilterinagarden
Thimbleberries Club 2008 - The Quilt Corner in Sparta used this as a block of the month for our Thimbleberries Club. We got kits each month with Thimbleberries fabric. If we got our block finished by the meeting, we earned a coupon for a free fat quarter. I worked on this each month in 2008 and had it quilted in the beginning of 2009. I use it on the couch as a throw and it's great for a little nap.
