Little Boy - Commissioned by a woman I worked with for her 2 year old nephew. The little boys are hand embroidered from purchased machine embroidery patterns.
Flip Flops on the Boardwalk - Mystery Quilt by AQS Magazine. I chose coordinating fabrics based on the flip flop fabric, crazy as they are. I adapted the flip flop blocks from a Quick Quilts magazine (that I can't find anymore). When it was completed, I saw the diagonal looked like a boardwalk and the fabrics imply water and sand.
Love and other Hearts - The center block is from the "Love is in the Air" collection by Deb Stain for Moda fabrics. The rest of the design is mine. I wanted something that depected Valentine's Day, and would make me smile. There are tiny crystals throughout the quilt to make my little one happy.
Cat Quilt - Original layout of cat designs from Cats in Quilts by Carol Armstrong (permission to use granted). The SLV Quilters started the quilt in 2009. It has been donated to the Humane Society of McCormick County to use as a fundraiser in 2011. Tickets are $5 or $20 for 5 tickets. Drawing to be in November 2011.
Spring Tulips - Foundation pieced mini quilt given as a birthday gift to my sister-in-law. The handmade wire wrapped hanger provides a method of wall display. See quarter coin for scale.
Jill's Scrappy Quilt - I love scrappy quilts and adapt patterns to scrappy instead of using a color palette. It has been a liberating growth process for me to be able to put fabrics together with no fear!!!

Grand Teton View - I visited the Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park last spring (will be back again this spring) and took this picture at my first stop in the Grand Tetons where I met an amazing person. I have been stuck on bears and landscapes since then.
Bear paw landscape - A mini landscape showing bear country with a bear paw fabric around it. Just a fun and fast fusing piece with a bunch of quilting.
Pastels on Paducah Bricks - A totally scrappy quilt using only stash fabric. Three values--dark using brown or red, light using tan, medium using small floral pastels. Cotton batting, machine quilted on a diagonal grid using a hand stitch.

I GET BY (with a little help from my friends) - This is a round robin that I did with my friends. It started off with an off center compass block and everything that was done after that was uneven on purpose.
