Ruffled Roses
Name of Maker: Jane Harris
Ruffled Roses - This pattern was offered as a block of the month by The Quilt Show. I bought the [pattern, I think in February of 2011 but did not get a start on it until August of that year. I finally finished it in March of 2012 just before my husband had a heart attack. It was the most challenging pattern I have attempted in my 17 years of quilting. The professional long arm quilter, Pam did a magnificent job on the quilting. It is true, "quilting makes the quilt" I will enter it in my guild show in October.
Quilt for James
Name of Maker: Copa55
Quilt for James - I made this quilt for my great nephew James, who is 5 years old. I just used a simple 4 patch block, with a border around each block, then joined it all together. Its a very simple design, but I think the bright colours and novelty prints I used look quite good together.

Welsh Quilting Revisited

Welsh Quilting Revisited - Double-sided quilt inspired by Welsh and Amish quilters. Simple piecing in neutral colors, using a silk/cotton blend and wool batting, shows off the elaborate hand-quilted Welsh designs.
Things are not always what they seem
Name of Maker: Becky1P
Things are not always what they seem - My son wanted a triangular quilt and I wanted to try the Kaleidoscope block, together with some M.C. Escher-like geometric shapes. It was a real challenge to combine all that in one quilt!
Gosito
Name of Maker: Becky1P
Gosito - I wanted to try my hand at machine applique using the blind hem stitch. This was a great pattern for that, but I like my color choices better than those on the pattern.

Chateau Chillon - This quilt was my first real try at capturing a photo in fabric. I did this as my project for an online class with Quilt University entitled "On Land & Sea", taught by Susan Brittingham.

Scrappy Stars - This quilt is totally scrappy. I used only fabrics that were in my stash, so I even pieced the back. Some of the fabrics are up to 20 years old.
