This was a difficult block, initially, but I got the hang of it, after a while. Thank goodness for Accuquilt dies! I just started another one for a bed quilt with the same fabrics, plus more that I've been adding, whenever the good sales come around.
My Butterfly Flutterby
Name of Maker: Leann McClain

"My Butterfly Flutterby", was the 4th quilt I ever made.  I really enjoy machine embroidery and wanted to see how they would look on batiks. - Using placement ideas from McKenna Ryan's "Bela Garden" quilt, I chose embroidered butterflies as the theme of this quilt centered around a butterfly view of a Texas scene of wild flowers. The center fabric is embellished with embroidered wild flowers, appliquéd house, and embroidered trees.  It features a 3-D embroidered butterfly. Machine embroidery patterns are by Embroidery Library and Singer. A double row of prairie points features 2 fabrics.
