i am not my hair - this was a challenge quilt. base on a song, by india arie. india arie signed this quilt at a concert. raw edge applique, hand and machine quilted.

Pink Pearl - Pink Pearl is the result of another miniature quilt (12" x 12") that I have been obsessed with lately! The design is original and the quilting was done on my APQS hand guided quilting system. The fabric was painted with Sharpie markers after quilting and the pearls and chrystals were added as a finishing touch. The quilt is not bound yet and I may still add to it if I get another wild hair!

Phillip's Quilt - I made this quilt for my grandson's 18th birthday. It consists of shades of blue and gray, and is 100% cotton (top, batting and backing). The backing is solid navy. Stitch-in-the-ditch machine quilted on my Janome sewing machine.

Fantasy Star - Done using the Square in a Square Techinque developed by Jodi Barrows. So fast and fun! Fantasy Star Pattern from the “Border’s by the Square” and “The 10th Anniversary edition” book. Dream values in red - My fourth quilt I made. I have used in wool batting and enjoy hand quilting it. It feels just like butter to hand quilt thru this structure. Sue's School House Quilt - Primary colors, original quilting designs

"Springtime in Japan" 2 ribbon winner & AQS juried - I am proud to say that this quilt was juried into the AQS show Nashville 2005. It got a 1st place ribbon at another show as well as an honorable mention at another. So happy ! What started out as a "1 block" piece for the wall, escalated into a whole quilt. It was quilted in gold metallic Sulky Holoshimmer thread.

Christmas Star - This is a great pattern and I have used all Christmas fabrics for it to create a seasonal quilt which was finished in time for use in December 2006.

Daisies - Cut up 18 Fat Quarters, one simple block, uses all of the fabric - this twin sized quilt can be made in a saturday!

Bed of Roses - I saw this in McCall's Quilting magazine, and the original quilt at the International Quilt Show in Chicago and loved it.

Trip Around the World - Made for our daughter and her husband for their wedding.

Teddy for Cynthia - I used faux fur for Teddy and buttons from my Grandmother's button jar for eyes. The doily was from our daughter's wedding reception table.

Forever Blowing Bubbles - Entered in the Clustered Spires Quilt Guild Challenge 2006, won 3rd place.

Heidi's Hydrangeas - My first attempt at an original design and one of my first applique quilts. I entered it in the Rose Hill Quilt Show in Frederick, Maryland and it took a ribbon in the small wallhanging mixed technique category. I gave it to my daughter on her September 11 birthday in 2002, one year after the terrible day that changed our lives forever.

Baby Trip - A baby quilt for friends who are both artists. Very simple looking but with a prairie point type edge. I loved figuring out the color transition.
