Blended Nine Patch - This quilt has not yet been quilted. This was done as a challenge quilt. A group of us all started with the same piece of fabric and the same quilt that we could use anywhere. It was fun to see how different they all where when we were done.
The wedding Quilt - This was made for my cousins wedding. I prmised them they would have it by the birth of their first child. Quilt was finished about two weeks before their first child was born. Opps took a little longer than I thought to make the quilt.LOL
Stack N Whack - My brother loves to play poker so when I saw this fabric I knew just what I had to do with it. My brother although 10 years younger than me never passes a new quilt shop without stopping in and buying me a piece of fabric.
Shine Brite On My Wall Tonight - This was a class and I needed a wall hanging - turned out perfect for the spot on the wall. Colors in the quilt really pop up as the light in the room changes during the day.
Caitlyn's Quilt - Created this quilt using sampler blocks and test strips of different seminole techniques. Appliqued the letters of the child's name onto the quilt using different embroidery stitches for each letter. Used Pansy Bow border design from "101 Quilt Blocks and Borders" book.
My First Quilt Show Quilt - This is "The Quilt Show" block by Ricky. I used one piece of freezer paper for all the blocks. I put a 3/4" black insert between each piece to make the colors pop,
Tree of Life - Both of my parents passed away within six months of each other. They were both cared for at the same hospital, in the same intensive care unit and by the same team of doctors and nurses. I created this in memory of my parents and as a token of appreciation to those who cared for them during this time.
Emma's Rose Trellis - During the hot summer of 2004 I had the chance to dye flannel with friends. These ummy fabrics were perfect for Lisa Walton's trellis pattern and a friend's new baby.
Wolves Dance in Winter Moonlight - A request from my sister for a quilt for her mother in-law prompted me to create Wolves. A pre-printed centre panel surrounded by free form blocks and boarders. This became the first in a series of quilts using pre-printed panels and the basis for my class - fun with panels.
At Home in the Woods - This is the first major art quilt I ever made. I had only been sewing for eighteen months when I decided my parents need this quilt. As a rank beginner I needed help, so I "cheated" by relying on McKenna's stunning designs and fabric kits put together by Keepsake Quilting. The challenge of working on such a complicated project has excellerated my learning and now 18 months later I'm choosing all the fabrics for my original designs.
Poppy,Morning Glory, Hydranga - I made this quilt for a challenge at my guild, Nutmeg Quilters. The challenge was to create a quilt using either colors or flowers to represent your initials. It was really fun to make. Oh and it won first prize.
4th of July Mystery Quilt - This is a mystery quilt pattern by Jessamy Thompson. I'm new to quilting, and this is the first thing I've ever finished for myself. It now belongs to the cat!
Cosmic Cousins - Based on an original block design by Carol Doak, the on-point layout was a happy accident after insufficient blocks were made! We couldn't face making any more blocks! It was Winner Quilts UK 2 person/ 2nd FOQ 2006 2 person/2nd FOQ 2006 longarm.
Dulcie's Quilt - This quilt was made for Dulcie, my friend's cat. I just loved the wonderful colors in th fabric. Dulcie's mom spilled bleach on it soon after it was finished.
