Charlene's Comfort - I made this quilt for a friend recovering from neck surgery. A group of friends wrote her words of encouragement in each signature block. 11/2011 UPDATE: My dear friend, Charlene, passed away from Rheumatoid Arthritis. I hope this quilt continues to comfort her loving husband.
Linda's Grandmother Garden - This quilt was made for my sister's 60th birthday. The main colors are pink and blue, but I chose many small prints in a full range of pastels. I used two inch plastic templates to sew each block together. There are 20 large flowers and 12 small flowers which I appliqued to the blue dotted background. It took 3 years to complete this quilt. I presented to my sister Christmas 2006. She loves it!
Regal Whirls - Made for eldest Grandson. Black contrast fabric, main fabric for pinwheels jewel colors. Second border cut from length of fabric. Kelly green accent border. Mustard binding, part handsewn.
Windblown Shades of Comfort - I like the original pattern but was not fond of a kite flying around on my bed; so I made an extra windblown block and put it in the center and then added some extra borders to make it fit in the space.
Tricker Treat - I found a cute pattern in an old issue (Sept/Oct '99) of Quiltmaker and add and subtracted to it. I love this wallhanging because I was able to play with a lot of different emblishments.
Spring time - While looking for patterns I saw this on online from Quilters Online Resource. Many thanks to them for giving us this free pattern. I had brought a dozen tie dyed bandanas because they were so colorful and this can to mind when I saw the pattern. I added a swirly machine embroidery.
Hunter's Star - I created a miniature paper-pieced design for the 1930's pattern Hunter's Star and created this quilt from it.My best Friend Jenny loved it so much I gifted her with the original.
End of the Universe - I created this quilt during a challenge. We were to create a quilt using the title of a book for inspiration. It was to be embellished and 12" x 12". I chose a book by Douglas Adams titled: "The Resaurant at the End of the Universe" for my inspiration and this is the result.
E-mail Mystery Quilt 2/2007 - I participated in an online/emailed mystery quilt, February 10, 2007. Each set of "clues" was emailed during the day...and I could have finished the top on that day, except I had to work!
Frogs a Leaping - A very simple pattern made with big blocks. My sister (Tonya) loves frogs and I thought that this pattern would really make a cute quilt for her.
Flowers in Vase - Art quilt Fused, free motion quilting and embroidery. Made for a guild challenge, won Honorable Mention. Comes with a quilt sleeve, dowel hanger, matches border fabric.
