AIDS panel - This was an AIDS panel done on commision for a friend. The panel contains photos, a favorite saying of the person who passed away. The stars in the quilt were made from his Hawaiian shirts, and the buttons in the center were from his shirts also.

Fields of Gold - I issued a challenge to myself to use up a large qty of scraps. I sorted them into paper sacks by color, then I had to draw out the strips randomly, and sewed them to a foundation of non-woven interfacing. I arranged the blocks by color across the quilt.

Sailor's delight - I was working with a simple block, but I wanted to emphasize the color transitions...from the ocean, grasses, sand, rocks, lighthouses, to the sky.

Lori's Oriental Garden - This quilt was a $5.00 quilt made at Creative Sewing Center over a 6 month period. We would meet monthly and if we completed the previous month's block we would get the next block free. I completed the quilt at a quilt retreat 6/2006 and gave it to a cherished friend for her birthday. My New York - my very 1st quilt - This was my very first quilt and I became addicted to quilting. My neighbor, Charlotte was teaching a class and she suggested I take her class. I used luminocity fabric and put the blocks together as I wanted. The design in the magazine was a wall hanging but I made mine as a lap quilt.

Hot Diggety Dogs - Pieced baby quilt using mostly Laurel Burch fabrics. Quilted borders have enlarged versions of two dog motifs (blue) in the Cats and Dogs fabrics. Machine appliqued patches in each corner.
