Romance
Name of Maker: Sherry Massey
Romance - I made this from the very popular Yellow Brick Road pattern. Again, as a member of my small church group, we all made the same pattern using individual fabric choices. I love the soft romantic feel of the floral prints. This is currently on my frame being hand quilted in a crosshatch pattern in the large central area. Will probably do something viney on the inner border and maybe feathers on the outer.
Heavenly Nine-Patch
Name of Maker: Sherry Massey
Heavenly Nine-Patch - I made this quilt in the first workshop I ever took. We met once a week for six weeks to work on our quilts. After I got tired of working on it and had gone on to another project, my Mom was kind enough to finish quilting it for me.
Ohio Star
Name of Maker: Sherry Massey
Ohio Star - I made this quilt while a member of a small church quilting group. We all used the same pattern, but chose different fabrics. It was a lot of fun to see how many different ways the pattern could be interpreted.
Wuthering Heights Beauty
Name of Maker: Sherry Massey
Wuthering Heights Beauty - I made this quilt from the Wuthering Heights collection by Moda (and a few fabrics from my stash). I love the romantic pinks and turquoise combination and the matching pillow sets it off. The bed it is on belonged to my grandfather and I have wonderful memories of playing on it as a child.
Pioneer Patches
Name of Maker: Sherry Massey
Pioneer Patches - This pattern is from a "weekend quilt" book belonging to someone else that I just got a few minutes to look at. I sketched the pattern and made it later from memory. This quilt top was put on an antique frame and used in a museum quilt exhibit at the Oklahoma Museum of History. After it came off exhibit, I quilted it by hand. It now hangs on my kitchen wall.
