Barb's Flower Garden - Made for local guild challenge. Requirements: include block made by recently deceased member; make entirely from stash; include image of bumble bee.
The 4 Seasons - I started this quilt in 1998. I finished the top in 2000 and have been had quilting it for the past 7 years. I decided to finish quilting it by machine or it would take me another 7 years. I finished it for our guilds show in May and it won viewers choice.
Flowers for Jade - LeMoyne Star enlarged to create one single block for a baby blanket. Yo-yo attached to center to create flower. (And to disguise a not quite perfect center.)
Calliope - The design was hand drawn. The colors were selected after seeing them togehter in a paint job on a car. I love the way the colors played against each other. There were small string art pieces and beads added to the quilt after it was quilted.
Sunflower Wool Pillow - This is a pattern now available from BBD Creations..we are branching out into wool! Wait to see what else we offer this fall at Market in Houston. Wool scraps machine appliqued onto hand dyed wool..with a bonus bee pattern on the back!
Dressed to the Nines - This quilt was made using my late Grandmother's dresses as the flowers. This quilt is on the cover of my book "Scraps of Time" Quilting with Treasured Fabrics.
WI Quilt Museum Quilt - This quilt is the donor quilt for the Museum to raise money to provide the funds to create a new museum for the WI Quilt History Project. I had the pleasure of quilting the quilt this summer. It will be hung in the main hall in Houston this year.
Self Portrait - This self portrait was originally made for the Quilting Arts magazine self portrait challenge. In my mind it totaly depicts how I view myself and my creativity: stars in my eyes, ideas sprouting madly but beautifully from my brain, yet my feet planted firmly on the ground.
Snowball Quilt - White background with reproduction prints of the 30's & 40's. Sold at the Holy Rosary church auction for $875.00. I love the old prints coming back.
