Analogous-Color Class
Name of Maker: Geri Schrader
Analogous-Color Class - Several years ago, when I was a brand new quilter, I signed up for a year long color class. This quilt was my Analogous assignment.
Encircled in Love
Name of Maker: Geri Schrader
Encircled in Love - This quilt was made for my daughter as she headed off to college and dorm life. She picked the fabrics for this quilt. The quilt was made to fit a twin xl--so I had to add to the original quilt pattern. This was good therapy for me in preparing to send my last child off to school.
Basking Gloria
Name of Maker: Geri Schrader
Basking Gloria - Gloria was a beautiful Alaskan Husky. She died in 2006 and I made this portrait for her owner and family. This was my first portrait--and I was thrilled with the final product.
Original Mini
Name of Maker: Terry Pevehouse
Original Mini - I designed this block for an EQ contest. I just drew some lines and then let the program auto arrange the blocks until I found a layout that I liked. The block is paper pieced and did have to be modified from the original for easier sewing.
Hand-dyes Converge
Name of Maker: Sharon Herr
Hand-dyes Converge - This convergence quilt was made using my hand-dyed fabric. It's another in what I hope to be a long line of convergence quilts.
In the Beginning
Name of Maker: Sharon Herr
In the Beginning - This was my first attempt at convergence quilts. They seem to be addicting. I can't wait to see what different fabrics look like when they are converged. It's a fun technique. It was much easier than I thought it would be. I give a lot of quilts away, but I think I'll keep this one!
Jeremy's Asian Harmony
Name of Maker: joytoquilt
Jeremy's Asian Harmony - Adapted a pattern on the Andover Fabrics website. Most of the fabrics used are from Lonni Rossi's Asian Harmony collection. I made it larger and added the yellow inner border.
Winging!
Name of Maker: Katherine Nguyen
Winging! - This quilt is a paper pieced patter from The Quilter's Cache/Marcia Hohn that I made for my brother for his winging in the Marine Corp. He loved it, and hung it on his wall.
Into the West
Name of Maker: Margaret McCrory
Into the West - Background painted. Appliqué and hand embellishment.

Name of Maker: Margaret McCrory

Diego's Wall Quilt
Name of Maker: Jennfier Padden
Diego's Wall Quilt - T shirts were from Linda's collection of Marathon and race t-shirts earned before she had her son. Cross Hatch quilting with walking foot done very quickly because she gave birth a month early!

I made this for my daughter because, when I went to visit her in Chicago, I was SO COLD!!! So she said "Make me a quilt and you can use it when you visit". I like the way it appears the fabrics are woven over and under each other.

It took several years for me to finish this elaborate quilt for my mother, who is interested in different quilt blocks. I pinned paper labels to each of the block patterns so she can pick out a "churn dash" block from a "54/40 or fight" block, etc. I mostly worked on it while we were on vacation, remodeling an old farmhouse without electricity (thus the hand applique).

After spending a month traveling in Ghana I found these great fabrics from Julia Cairns, which perfectly expressed my own memories of this wonderful country and it's beautiful people. The outer border is made from fabric purchased in Africa. I have it pin basted and started the quilting. It's next on the pile of UFO's to FINISH!!

Yet another attempt to use up scraps. I really enjoyed playing with the value of the fabrics.
Kate's quilt
Name of Maker: Kate Chamberlain
Kate's quilt - Kate's quilt was made by her when she was 10 years old. She pieced and quilted it all by herself, with my guidance on an old hand Singer sewing machine. Unfortunately, her tastes have changed since, she is now 21, but it is my pride and joy!

Many years ago I took a class from ??? who was selling this pattern and teaching her way of constructing it through a sample block, which I finally completed today. I took ugly fabrics to the class, thinking it would be yet another UFO and not really knowing what I'd need. It doesn't look bad, though, proving yet again that there is really no such thing as a truly ugly fabric! I practiced quilting on it with my new long-arm quilting machine.
Summer Quilt
Name of Maker: Lynn Chamberlain
