Mirto Elixir of Love Fairie - Farie Goddess Mothers Challenge by Linda Poole. Make a story and design a quilt using the Fairie pattern. Hearts on border are quilted with Metalic thread.
My favourite things - This was my choice for Christmas gifts. It is a cut a way technique. and is really fast and easy.
Just won 3rd place ribbon at the Milford Valley Quilters Guild show in Pa. :-) 6/2011
Blue Lagoon - Got to use all my favourite batiks and sparkly fabrics, including my own 'fantasy fabric' made from sewing snippets of fabric to taffeta with solvy over the top.
Cats for Oscar - I started with the Kool Kats wall hanging pattern, made 4 cats, added appliqued stars, and used Ricky Tims caveman quilting technique for the striped borders.
Splashed! - The focus fabric appears to be splashed with blues, teals, greens, and purples. I had to fight with myself to cut this fabric, that's why the cuts are large.
Alabama - This quilt was for one of our High School Coach's son. Coach is a HUGE Alabama football fan, but more specific Bear Bryant fan. I embroidered one of Bear's quotes on the quilt. The backing and binding is a small houndstooth fabric in honor of Bear Bryant's Hat.
Rainbow Sherbet with a Scoop of Pineapple - When I got tired of nine and four patches, I added some Stack the Deck blocks from a pattern I created that included some of my hand painted fabrics.
911 quilt - I made & dedicated this to my Father-in-law for his 35 years of service as a firefighter. It also coincided with the tragedy of 911 and was inspired by this event to honor him.
From Auntie D - There are two of these quilts - this one in red and white and a matching one in blue and yellow to please two special young ladies. This one got dragged to show and tell in my "niece's" school after Christmas.
Family - Made for a beloved brother-in-law to remind him that family doesn't have to be blood! Made during the QuiltEscape Retreat held at Shawnee State Park in Ohio each November.
