Gratitude in Batik - Flannel rag quilt made with batik flannels. Quilted in metal thread in heart shapes.

Plant Series 1: The Milkweed - Inspired by a photograph in Karl Blossfeldt's "Art Forms in the Plant World". I found the milkweed to be based on pentagons and worked with that form.

Sunshine and Beaches - I bought both of these as kits, with the pattern and fabric. They were paper pieced and fun to make.

Alaskan Wolves - Wolf panels surrounded by borders of flying geese. Freemotion quilting on wolves and PCQuilter borders of wolves and pine trees.

My allegro - This is a fun book with many variations. i loved the bright graphic look of this and will be quilting in soon for my granddaughter

Fairies for Harmony - Fussy cut garden fairies surrounded with a garden lattice of lavender and pink satin.

Singing the Blues - Fun Flannel pattern. Good class projects. SImple 1/2 square triangles. The fish motif on the borders and backing helped it become a true north woods quilt.

My First Sampler Quilt

Wonky in Love - I finished this one finally! I had a quilt speaker stay with me, and drove her back and forth to her sessions on wonky log cabins. The session was full, so I stayed long enough to get the coffee and cookies out, and tried to glean as much as I could from her introduction. Unfortunately, I missed the part about how to make the blocks fit together. When another speaker came to stay and based a lot of her presentation on curves, I knew how I could finish this one. What a lot of fun I had, and I'm going to keep on being wonky and curvy in my quilts. Maybe it reflects me, too!

30's unleashed - Star is center motif of block, The block sahing allows for "twisting the setting" and the star points "float which allow all levels of quilters to be succesful with points.

Bargello Heart - I used Americana prints to create this quilt for my husband's birthday in 11/2000. The back has a fabric with D.C., Hollywood, N.Y., etc. on it. It won viewer's choice at a small local quilt show in 8/2002.

Sallydog - I made the changes and made the picture look like Sally my dog. The best dog in the world. Unfortunatly she died about 2 months after I completed this quilt. It hangs in my studio so Sally can watch over me
