Grandmother's Flower Garden - Made when I was a child with my Grandmother Bowman. Her fabric stash was old then, but she let me pick through it to select my flowers.
Pink Lady - Mother had made some embroiderd flower blocks and never finished her quilt. I put the blocks together with 9 patch blocks and her favorite pretty pink colors. She loved it. The picture is of it before it was quilted but I will take a picture of it soon to replace this one.
BlackWhiteRedAllOver - BlackWhiteRedAllOver was pieced and embroidered on a Bernina Hoop It All. I machine quilted it with the BSR. It was a gift to my sister, Becky.
Kaleidescope - This is a kaleidescope pattern that i designed myself after taking Ricky's 2 day seminar. It was really a fun pattern to do and just as easy as Ricky said it would be.
"Feng Shui" - Lines and circles represent the movement of "Chi" (Lifeforce) through space. Made from fabrics collected from Japan, Holland, hand-dyes, plus batiks.
Sylvie's Challenge - A challenge made by our teacher, Sylvie, to design a quilt using colour values to change one basic block. The original quilt was totally green and was named 'Epinard"(Spinach) but I named mine 'Sylvie's Challenge' as all the tiny triangles were such a challenge. Another friend though of naming her's 'Nightmare'!
Ella's Memory Quilt - My granddaugher's quilt I made her for her 1st birthday. Pictures of her first year even before she was born (upper left corner pic of daughter-in-law pregant). Even have pic's of her great grandmother and great-great grandmother (still living).
April's Quilt - I made this quilt for my son's high school friend, April, for her birthday and her move to the University of Toronto. As she is a keen dancer I included ballerinas in the quilting.
"We Remember" - My 9-11 memorial quilt features headlines and newspaper photos of 9-11. Stars of David illustrate that we were attacked because we support the right of Israel to exist.
How to Make an American Quilt - My guild challenged us to make a quilt based on the title of a movie. Inspired by Ruth McDowell's book When Quilters Gather, I chose "How to Make an American Quilt." The quilters depicted represent my small quilting group who gather at my home each month for a Friday night Quiltathon.
