The Queen's B&B - A gift to my in-laws to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary. My MIL and I have the exact same name (I know, weird!) so to distinguish whom you are calling for when we're both around, she's the Queen and I'm the princess. She has a dream of owning a B&B some day--for now, her guest room will have to do--hence the name of this quilt "The Queen's B&B."

Todd's Birthday Quilt 2007 - This is a pattern that was handed out at a Thimbleberries Fabric Club meeting in 2006. Flannel fabric was used for the front and the back.

The Windows of Heaven - Windows pattern was used to create this quilt. This quilt was made for a Nigerian Catholic priest and is being used as an altar cloth.

Katie`s Kolors - Made this quilt for my daughter Katie, She saw the batiks and had to have one

Gold Star Quilt - I made this quilt for the Operation Homefront Quilts project. Operation Homefront Quilts was started by Jessica Porter in Florida. Her goal is to make quilts for all the families of the soldiers who have been killed in the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't know who will get my quilt but I felt honored to participate in this worthwhile project.

Red Horse Roundup - I was learning to do machine applique and liked the bold, graphic design of this red and black southwestern quilt on the cover of The Quilter Magazine. I cut down the quilt to four blocks and used the red horses in the border to practice my machine applique. The triangle blocks turned out to be the most difficult part of the quilt, getting all those points to come together. It was a lot of fun working on this quilt. I've already made two of these wall hangings and plan to make more.

Autumn Stars - Britt made this quilt as a wedding gift for Håkon and Katrine, wed on July 14, 2007. Britt & Håkon are second cousins.

"Who do you say that I am?" - Jesus' question to Peter echoes throughout history, asking us to answer. Is Jesus a liar, a madman, or Savior and Lord? "Who do you say that I am?"

Maggi - I love this little quilt because it's our wonderful German shepherd, Maggi. I took a Imagery on Fabric class and printed out Maggi's poster in class. It's not a very difficult quilt, but I have to say it's my favorite because it's Maggi.

"Closed Windows" - My father stares through closed windows. Alzheimer's has made his memories take flight. It is a disease of brain plaques and tangles, represented in this quilt's dark, ragged fabrics.

"Moon Garden" - This mysterious scene is made of a collage of commercial Japanese style fabrics and hand dyed and marbelized fabrics. Moon garden makes you want to walk outside on a cool summer night.

"Soul Mates" - Cranes mate for life, making them soul mates. They also represent peace and happiness. I have found all these things in my union with my dear husband, Steven.

Katie's Butterflies - My mom made me this quilt for my 7th birthday. I love bugs, so in addition to the butterflies, she appliqued bug cutouts from a bug fabric. She made this quilt at her first retreat.

Papillon Violet - I saw Sharon Rexroad's Doily Magic at a quilt guild meeting and decided I just had to make a Butterfly Kisses quilt. I made it in purple because that is my favorite color.

BOM Sew Vac - Block of the Month through my sewing dealer (Sew Vac in Long Beach, CA). I added a few blocks of my own to make the quilt larger. I still have to finish the shams to match.
