Name of Maker: Anne Brennan
Gene's Cat House - I adapted the pattern by putting extra space around the cats and drafting foundation patterns for both the cat and the weathervane blocks. I also added cornerstones.
I painted buttons for eyes, then stencilled paw prints around the border in gold paint.
The quilt was supervised and tested at every stage by Aslan Brennan, my crabby (but lovable) little ginger cat. She even threw up on it a few times, to prove that it's a REAL cat quilt that can be washed.
The quilt is called "Gene's Cat House" because my friend Gene's wife Maureen is afraid of cats, so the ones on this quilt are the only ones he'll ever be allowed to have in his house. :)
