Maroon Blackwork Quilt - Maroon and Taupe blocks with blackwork embroidery designs. This quilt was made for my sister, Ginny Belle, for hosting our Smith Sisters Reunion 2007. This was the first "sisters reunion" of 6 girls since our Mother died in 2005.
Blue Latte Quilt - Embroidered Quilt using Bernina Software instead of traditional stitches. Hardest part was using blues instead of beiges, and adapting which blue shade corresponded to which beige shade.
Winter Stars - I collected 'blue winter' fabrics for several years before starting on this, my first 'large' quilt not from a pattern. It is my 'January' quilt for the wall gallery in my dining room.
Winterberry Star - I designed this quilt to be a tree skirt, but could be used as a wall -hanging- cutting into the center for the tree skirt was sooo... hard!
Blustery Day - The leaves are 3 dimensional and quilted to the quilt through the center stem. I pieced the back from the leftover fabric and the hanging sleeve from extra small blocks.
Seaside Retreat - I designed this quilt for a 3-day retreat sponsor by Quadrille Quilting. It was held at the shore, so I thought I should teach a quilt representing our location.
St. Kevin's Monastery ll - This art quilt is of the Trinity Church, one of 7 church ruins in St. Kevin's Monastery City, Glendalough, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. See it at the - ShawCramerGallery.com
Butterfly Quilt - This quilt was made for our oldest granddaughter's 14th birthday. She allowed me to enter this quilt in the California Mid State Fair. The free motion quilting on the quilt does not show in the picture but each butterfly block is quilted with a different wildflower.
