Peggy's Crib Quilt
Name of Maker: Mary Danaher Murphy
Peggy's Crib Quilt - This is my crib quilt my grandma made for me. She was a prolific quilter...mainly utility quilts so there are not a lot of her quilts around. Her quilts were fondly used and comforted our souls. Oh I wish we would have kept them unused. What a story the fabrics could tell.
Dance for Debbie
Name of Maker: Tamra René
Dance for Debbie - This looks like a complicated quilt, but very easy to make.
A Tribute to Uncle Jimmy
Name of Maker: Tamra René
A Tribute to Uncle Jimmy - This quilt was made for my uncle's retirement from the Texas Air National Guard. I appliqued his patches from his years of service in paper-pieced blocks. I included pictures transferred to fabric of him in action or in uniform. The center block is an embroidered F-16 which is what he flew during his service.

Log Cabin Tulips
Name of Maker: Tamra René
Log Cabin Tulips - This was the second quilt I made during a class at a local craft store. It was very methodical strip piecing and my first attempt at applique. The quilting is a very small stiple.
Long May She Wave
Name of Maker: Peggy O'Connor
Long May She Wave - I saw this "Little Quilt" on Simply Quilts. It was fun and easy to make.
Jane's Circle Play
Name of Maker: Tamra René
Jane's Circle Play - This quilt was made during a class at Asilomar Empty Spools Seminar with Reynola Pakusich. I used all Jane Sassman prints. I was worried that the fabrics would not provide enough contrast for the background flow, but it seemed to work out. I love this little wall hanging. I have several offers to sell it, but I think I'll hold on to this one.
Blue Beauty
Name of Maker: Peggy O'Connor
Blue Beauty - Paper pieced New York Beauty blocks make this look more difficult than it is.
Naomi Quilt
Name of Maker: Jennifer Lynch
Naomi Quilt - This is my first quilt! My cousin had a new baby and I was starting a new hobby. Even though Naomi is a girl, I knew she would love the ocean blues and sunny yellows. Thank heavens for Eleanor Burns patterns. The quilt was really fun to make, and turned out great. I may have even finished it in 24 hours, spread across many days of course. After this one I was hooked for good. I am not sure of its exact condition at this point, but I know it is loved. A bit of southern California for my northern Californian cousin.
