Mick's 25th birthday - Mick, my daughter's boyfriend, was drawn to red and black fabric in a quilt shop in Portland when I visited in March. I wanted him to have something to look at while studying at Chiropractic School. How could I not make him something; he went with us hopping from shop to shop.
Blue and Yellow Stars - I have always wanted a blue and yellow quilt--so when our group, Blockwatchers, at my LQS decided to make a Lemoyne Star quilt, I had to do it in blue and yellow. I hope to enter it in my local quild quilt show in 2008!
AJ 's Quilt - When I saw this fabric advertised in a magazine I knew I had to make this quilt for my grandson. It was his first year with the marching band at his high school. They are the Golden Bears, hence the bear paw pattern!

Georgia's Plates - I designed this quilt in EQ6 for the Dresden Plate secret pal blocks I received. The Dresden Plates were hand appliqued by Georgia Justus. I modified an Irish chain by making 5 9-patches with two color families in opposing directions. I also paper-pieced the bunting created from a wedding ring block and joined them with appliqued bows. My original quilting on my Bernina Aurora 440QE using the BSR and walking foot.
Brisbane Christmas - My first attempts at applique - some of the blocks are from other members of the swap group and I did one extra applique block (Santa block and Bells block are mine) and 2 paper pieced Xmas stars to make up the 9 blocks.
QOV #2 - Second quilt top I have made for Quilts of Valor Foundation (www.quiltsforsoldiers.com). Quilts for injured soldiers recovering in US hospitals.
Spring In The Davis Mountains (TX) - The desert comes alive with beauty in the spring when the cacti bloom. Many varieties of cacti are on this quilt, as well as a rattlesnake at the bottom, hard to see in the picture. All silk fabric, silk ribbon, beads, stone chips, metalic thread
Rubber Ducky - A quick and easy quilt that I made for my granddaughter's visit to Canada. Leah's first word was 'duck', so I couldnt resist making this quilt for her.
Memories - I made this quilt for my daughter and new son-in-law when they married. It is embellished with memory items from both families. Most items are very old.
