Four Patch Chain - Helen Randall's Grandma Myers pieced the quilt in 1926 and it was quilted by Helen's mother (Maggie Randall) and given to Helen on her 13th birthday in 1932. Inherited by Wendye Anttila.
Cherry Tree Quilt - Made by Margaret Ann Boardman (1865-?) of La Port,
IN (grandmother of Glenna-Marie Allen Hood). The quilt was passed down to
Glenna-Marie in 1944, and is now in the possession of Wendye Anttila, great granddaughter
of the maker.
Memories of Italy - Main body of black on black print with photos from trip to Italy. Connected photos with strips of pinwheels, 4-patch, seminole, etc, in terra cotta & tan fabrics to mimic the roof tops of the city. Included embroidered personalization with names and date of trip. Bound with black & white dots fabric.
Spinning Geese - I created this Block in EQ starting with a tradtion block that was twisted into curved lines. Hand dyed fabrics were used for the color gradation.
Whirly Twirly Round and Round - Fun doing this pattern - used paper foundations, fabric glue and invisible machine applique. Very pleased with the outcome.
April Showers - I had to make a quilt before it was know if it was to be a boy or a girl. I thought this was a quilt that would work for either a boy or a girl.
Finally - Hand appliqued, machine quilted. Paper pieced sashing. Quilt is quite a bit smaller than originally planned and was on my design wall for ages. Finally - I finished it.
The Bountiful Table - We received a kit at Moda U for a placemat in fall colors. I used some of my stash and made 2 and then used the rest of the fabric to create the center block and created this table runner. I love it! The background is in a linen and it accents the fall cottons really well.
