Eagle Quilt
Name of Maker: she-quilts
Eagle Quilt - My guild secret sister gave me the pattern in '06. I found a kit of fabrics to complete the top at Susan's Calico Creations in Fulton, IL. The cutting of each tree took 45 mins. Lots of little cutting! This hangs above my computer area and I love it. :-)
1st Landscape Quilt
Name of Maker: she-quilts
1st Landscape Quilt - Katie, of Platteville, Wisconsin, gave a workshop for our guild. I loved her work and was very excited about the workshop. She gave us a square of fabric to start for our background and we had an assortment of fabrics to add. We could also use her stash pile spread over a few large tables. She helped us along during the day. The fabrics are cut w/ pinking shears and spray basted to the background. I quilted it later w/ monofilament thread. I love the final result!! I'd love to do more of these but my stash isn't what I'd need to have the selection of appropriate fabrics to choose from.
Blowfish and Friend
Name of Maker: dcoutant
Blowfish and Friend - Started this in a Ruth McDowell workshop based on an underwater photo my daughter took while diving in Mexico. I loved Ruth's process, and plan to make more with this method.
Tropical Stars
Name of Maker: dcoutant
Tropical Stars - My Dad lives in Florida, so I wanted something "cool" for the hot climate. The pastel fabric was perfect, and I was going through a "star" phase. When I found the palm tree fabric I knew it was meant to finish this top, and thus came the name Tropical Stars. The free motion quilting in the border was my first attempt at that, so although not great, it is definately "handmade", and helped me imporve my skills.
Irish Salute
Name of Maker: Judy Welch
Irish Salute - Great quilt that has graced our bedroom for 10 years. I made valances to match.
Fun in the Fall
Name of Maker: NancyAnn1959
Fun in the Fall - I have made several quilts from patterns by McKenna Ryan. Her patterns are very easy to follow, yet look very complex. I used many different colored threads for the machine quilting. I traced real maple leaves and free-motion quilted around them in the border.
Blue Paper Lanterns
Name of Maker: Joy Sterner
Blue Paper Lanterns - This quilt is the product of a Quilt block exchange within our guild. I won the blocks in December of 2004, and completed the quilt for the 2005 Colorad State fair. It placed 4th in the "Quilts made by a group or two or more individuals." I machine quilted the piece, on my Bernina machine. (1230)

Rachael
Name of Maker: Jen Wagner
Rachael - I made this quilt for my best friend when her second daughter was born. Although the pattern wasn't for a baby quilt, in pinks and greens, it turned out perfect for a baby girl. The pattern is pieced rectangles with sashing and squares in between. I quilted it with playful flowers, leaves and loops. The borders are quilted in spirals.
