I Choose Anne - A collection of Civil War Fabrics led to making Sister Choice Blocks with my sister. She kept her blocks and made a quilt, and I kept mine and made a quilt. Its machine quilted with feather patterns in the borders.
Double Trouble - The quilt was designed to meet the criteria of two (2) challenges: one required the use of two (2) of the fabrics and the other required the use of a friendship star.
Handprint Quilt - Made with natural, adopted, and foster nieces and nephews. Solid and log cabin blocks, appliqued hand prints. Also dog and hamster prints ;)
The Amanda Quilt - Amanda chose the border fabrics, the black/white background (front) and wanted the camo and Air Force logo on the back. She placed the front blocks as well.
The Amanda Quilt - This quilt was made for a very special friend of mine, my boyfriend's daughter, a girl-gone-woman already who is like my very own daughter.
Laurie's baby quilt - Baby quilt made with seams outward for softness, quilting in rows up and down to give it a ripple effect. I have seen the technique but don't know if there is a name for it or not.
Floral Fantasy - Medallion, Borderie Perse, flying geese, toile, and stripped fabric. This quilt was designed for the North Texas Shop Hop 2007 and has a little bit of everything. This pattern and kit are available at Common Threads Quilting.
For Hannah - For Hannah was designed in honor of my great, great, great grandmother who came to Texas in 1831. Shown in the Texas Traditional Treasures at the Houston Quilt Festival 2005.
For Margaret - Featured quilt in Quilt Sampler Magazine, Spring 2007. It was such an honor for Common Threads to be choosen for Quilt Sampler. It was a delight to design this quilt to be featured with an article on our shop. The quilt kit, with original fabrics, and the magazine are available at Common Threads.
