A hunting we will go - This quilt was made for our Tampa Bay Vizsla Club for the rescue fund. The vizsla is a Hungarian Pointer dog. The raffle will be drawn at our specialty day in Jan. of 08. The quilt travels with me to all the AKC hunt tests and field trials. Embrodiery was done by 165E Bernina and quilted on a Juki TLQ98 on a gracie quilt frame. The pattern is " Turning Twenty ".
It's Not Always Black & White - Group of internet quilters (Canada, USA, Australia) met for first time in-person at AQS show in Nashville (2000) and met Alex Anderson. Bought fabric and "Simply Stars" book -- and this is my souvenir. One of my first quilts.
Yuletide Joy - Members of an Internet Round Robin group each contributed a block (or connector blocks) to this quilt. Label on back lists names and locations (throughout Canada and USA).
String Lightning - Trying to get rid of some of my strings -- I thought the dark/bright colors on black would be striking. I tried machine quilting a "fingers" design which made a great texture.
Sampler - This is my first attempt at machine quilting a large quilt. This was our guilds BOM for the year.
I drew and added the light house row. It is paper pieced
For Elias - Bright colors and lots of dots. The black prints are all things a kid would like: pirates, dinosaurs, bugs, etc. Elias' name is freehand machine stitched along the border.
Black n' White with Red Posies - 20 ladies participated in this Black & White block swap and then were challenged to finish their quilts in their own way.
