autumn leaves - This is a table runner i have recently made. The leaves were taken from the original leaves that i collected last autumn on a walk with my hubby and our two jack russels. Its machine pieced the applique is machine. The quilting is my first practise piece with my new bernina 630 with the BSR foot, Amazing! I loved all of the work in it.

Wacky Scrappy Cat - This was created by Kathy Butts using the New York Beauty pattern but then redesigned to get this cute little cat. This was a new technique for paper piecing.
Clown 'n Around

Clown 'n Around - Made for the 2005 Arizona Quilters Guild Fall Meeting Challenge. Theme: Under the Big Top. When I saw the blue background fabric, the ovals looked like faces so I put that fabric in the background to look like 'the audience'. The tent is made from light weight canvas creatively folded and stitched down to look like a tent complete with ties on the front flaps. The balloon is cut from a mylar balloon. The clowns are fused down and the eyes and small pompom noses are glued in place. The flag pole on the top of tent is a toohpick, the flag is fussy cut fabric.

Dutch Treat - Assorted 4" blocks are done in reverse applique by hand. I used selected blocks from the book and added setting blocks. The applique blocks have assorted blue fabrics behind a white on white top

Flower Basket - The entire quilt is made up of hexagons. The pattern in the magazine called for a much smaller hexagon. I loved making this quilt!
SunBonnet Sue's Clothes Line

SunBonnet Sue's Clothes Line - Cut out the quilt motifts (3"x3"), added backing and batting. Then hand quilted while on a house boat vacation on Kentucky Lake near Paducah in July 2004. I received the metal Sunbonnet Sue figures as a gift. I thought it would be cute for these 2 metal figures to be holding a clothes line with small quilts hanging from them.

Alice Meets the Cheshire Cat - Made for the Arizona Quilters Fall Meeting October 2006. Theme: Alice in Wonderland. I saw a picture in an old (circa 1860's) book by Lewis Carroll (pen name used by Dodgson), illustrated by Sir John Tenniel. I acquired this book at a yard sale for 25 cents!

Yes, Pansies!! - Made for the Arizona Quilters Guild Fall Business Meeting October, 2007. Theme: 'A Quilter's Basket - A tisket, a tasket, are there flowers in your basket?' Yes, Pansies!! I used hand painted fabric for the background, silk flower leaves and Pansies fussy cut from theme fabric. I took green and yellow fabric strips, folded, then woven into the basket. The basket is sewn down on the sides and bottom leaving the top open so the moss can be put into the basket.
